Hey there, I know this feels like advertising but I was able to post this with permission of a staff member! We are currently working on a database with all the consoles ever created. This is because there was no site we could find with info like this. They are incomplete or info is not correct So we decided to make our own! We are talking about every Console and controller color/model and limited editions/sweeptakes etc. But also packaging variations! there are thousands of them so it's still a work in progress Yes our site is not completely finished yet, but Nintendo and Microsoft are online right now. so every console is available on there to see what they are called, how rare they are and where to achieve them. (no prices) The site is free/ ad free, and it's just for your information. and yes we are very proud to achieve this. Currently working on Sega/Sony/Atari Also a few members here where sharing there collection for us to show on the site. they are to be seen on the 'Special Thanks' page on our site If you want to be on there as well, please allow us to use your consoles to display on our site, can be the picture of the box or a with a the matching console next to it. our site is this: www.consolevariations.com and we have a facebook as well and we try uploading pictures on there daily with variations you (hopefully) are new to you www.fb.com/consolevariations and if you have any questions/suggestions/things to improve, or are you a website guru and could make things easier for us. Would be amazing to know! Sorry for the long text! Have an amazing day and let us know what you think PS: For the N64DD Lovers we also have the whole history of the N64DD and the promoitems with high-quality pictures!
Youre using the wrong picture for the DoA Xbox. You are using the promo image from when it was still DoA: Online, not Ultimate. Far fewer DoA:O Xboxes are out there. And you continue to cite 60 Launch Teams / Partners, which was proven to be false. On top of missing stuff of course, but that is expected
That's a weird Nintendo 64 this Turok 2 one. I wonder how they took such measures for the adhesive that way.
thanks for the advice! If you have the correct image of the system please let me know ^^ Our pictures are not stolen but all asked with permission to use them. we can`t just take pictures off the internet. and yah about the 60 LAunch teams/partners I was in doubt. I read from different sources that there are 60, we try to make it as complete as possible so if you have the information that is correct. we would love to hear it! PS: About that N64, those are stickers you could get at N64 Megazine from Europe you have alot of them like Zelda OOT and Rayman 2!
Check out some of the threads here. There were at least hundreds sold for the launch team. And there should just be a press image out there of DoAUltimate.
A while back I tried a buggy emulation front end called "ecc" or emulation control center, I've since forgotten about. It did displays all the systems ever made and a bio about them plus high quality screenshots after you allow it to update and download its free media packs into it.
Very fascinating read, but was surprised that no info regarding Mother 3 was present, I understand it's a lost/canceled game but might be worth adding.
I am sorry for the necro-bump I've been working on that site for almost 1.5 years now on daily bases. I added around 9000 pictures to all kinds of variations, I know assembler has been a fan of Xbox systems and we have over 400 of those now! The website is growing at around 600 visitors on daily bases, (kinda cool really when you see all the stats) Here I am asking again if we miss anything regarding consoles/controllers or any info . before I posted it was only Nintendo and Microsoft that where done. but now we have the following: Atari variations Nintendo variations Sega variations Sony variations Microsoft Variations and Neo Geo Variations Thanks to a few members here we are able to have al lot of pictures! Thanks a bunch!
February 22, 2002 for Japan when I first clicked the Microsoft link. Edit: And I believe the Crystal was March 2004 and re-released late summer/early fall 2004 due to popular demand. EA Console has AE Special Edition You have a Superman skin listed as a special console, almost as bad as the painted consoles. Edit 2: Someone trolled you with the Superman console and superman controller, probably want to remove that from your site. The console is a skin and the controller is just a iconcepts game fury 3rd party controller. You should also make it known your numbers are all estimates/guestimates.
Thanks for the feedback! We have changed the errors. The Superman was a huge doubt.. I had parties saying it was real.. and parties saying it wasn't.. so i removed it. Also thanks for stating the model of the controller that makes it easy to say it was a troll all along
Best of luck. I'll have to give the 3DS and vita sections a view over (I have a rather large, 30+, 3DS system collection). At least on quick spot I noticed in the n3ds variations section you are missing this one http://animalcrossingworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/New3DS_ACHHD_Final_Render.jpg Also I think it would be cool if you catalog region variances for each box as well as some LE came out in multiple regions and have different packaging.
Also while these 3 systems are listed on the site. You did not list them for their mainland china release under the iQue brand. Actually to correct some data, These 3 variations were released in china first. They later came to japan through a sign up promotion with a web service (or something of that nature if I remember). -edit- Also if it helps to note. The 3 iQue units use the same Region protection as HK/TW. iQue 3DS did not get any additional games released, bar from the two on the system, in china from what I could find so the only way to get more games was to buy/import the HK/TW versions.
Thanks alot for all that advice! If you want. Can you send pictures of those systems to us? We would like to use those packaging for our website.. only with your approval ofcourse Aboout the whjole catalog thing. We are still figuring out how to use advance webdesign so a searchbar/filter/everythingwe can apply! But is still pending ^^ i have no idea how to make this yet About the New 3ds. The true colors of those systems are black and white. The rest (animal crossing, ambassador, dbz, pokemon, etc) are Faceplates. We will do faceplates in the future! The ique 3ds xl systems i will edit that the original production was in China! Any more advice are very much welcome =)
On the Saturn side you are missing the Karaoke units with built in Saturn's (2 models. Out there that I owned). You are also missing a Victor hotel Saturn unit which I saw in a hotel in Japan but don't own. I can send pictures of the Karaoke Saturn units if you'dike.
The Mega Drive section is missing the Victor Wondermega RG-M1. It's mentioned in the description of the Sega Wondermega, but doesn't have a picture or other information. I can take a picture of mine if needed. It's also missing the Wondermega RG-M2, the X'Eye, and the Aiwa Mega CD. There's also the Mega Drive add-on thing for the Laseractive. Also, the description of the Genesis has a picture of a Mega Drive.
Thanks a bunch Yakumo and la-li-lu-le-lo @Yakumo if you could send pictures of the saturns that we are missing. That would be great! And we'll add it right away! We however wont upload pictures that are not given with pernission @ la-li-lu-le-lo thanks alot for that info! We only have pictures that are manufactured by Sega. This is the reason why we dont have the Aiwa en xEye. Etc those where i think just licensed by sega and Manufactured by another party.
If that's the case, then why do you have the Victor V-Saturn, Hitachi HiSaturn, etc? I believe those were manufactured by Victor and Hitachi.
Other Saturn models: -Korean round-button Sega Saturn -Asian Video CD Sega Saturn Also the gray and white Sega Saturns were released in Asia, but came with 200-240v power supplies.
