I dont think we're complaining, but rather trying to find info on/about the site , at least thats what im trying to do. I'm interested in buying one or two.
i used AliBaba when i ordered my clone dm800hd, i paid with paypal, and got the dreambox within days...so i think you will always find legitimate Chinese sellers...
I was thinking about that. If someone is good with a convection wand, and had some reballing experience, could they swap cpu/tsop over to a mobo that wasn't trashed? efuses are in the cpu right?
There was talk in a thread a while back about 'transplanting' a dev CPU and flash to another board, I forget the specific conditions but it was said to work. Of course, this is a really bad way of doing it, as these are already old boards, prone to breaking. Although, I presume you could build a 'platypus' kit that would work at least for a little with one of these.
The google translation of one of those mentioned the machines being thrown together from working parts and then modded with blue LEDs (it's common knowledge they make kits better); they also promise they're not banned from PNET. At 60€ per kit not bad if you ask me. You only get RROD retail boxes for that kind of money around here. They also offer services with '200 pre-installed games'... if you're so inclined.
NAND + CPU transplant with same mobo revision conditions and a amazing workstation yes. That was my thread and I think Xenon.7 made that statement.
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=5540402622 this guy left a tele # in his auction, someone should call him and work out a deal?
Can't imagine how long that would take for a larger chip, w/ prolly at minimum 10x as many balls to put on...
It's almost impossible to do on a 360 GPU, because there are much more solder pads and also the balls need a specific diameter, and you also need to be able to aplly heat from both sides of the board, that's how professional reballing machines work.
