I only remember feeling two earthquakes and they weren't that big. Of course the epicenters were south of Seattle and I lived 45 miles north of Seattle. The first one felt kind of neat. I lived in a mobile home and it felt like it was riding a wave from one end to the other. It did it a few times then stopped. The second one was more of a real earthquake feel. At first I thought some real heavy dump trucks were bouncing down the street... then stuff started to sway at the house then kind of rock back and forth. That second one damaged the building my stepdad worked in down by the King Dome. It stayed closed for months until the structure was deemed safe. I feel sorry for anyone who lives in a really bad fault area with massive quakes. I bet it's some scary shit!
Its kind of weird how that one Earthquake made just a big hole in the ground. I would think it would split the ground in a line. From what it looks like, it looks like a Meteor hit the ground but didn't cause an explosion or crack the ground around it (much, anyway) Now I'm going to put on my Tinfoil hat. Maybe it was an experimental laser weapon from space!
I thought is was in South America ? It was a few weeks ago on the news here. (first there was one in Brazil, then in..)
anyone seen alien vs. predator? that was the first thing i had to think of when i saw those pics a few weeks ago
