Does anybody know if this is true? I read it on a forum and the first part seems believeable but the last part is hella weird and may be a case of chinese whispers.
Of course, everything on the Internet is true! You don't seriously believe this, right? I'm sure there's a whole "creepy-sounding video game rumors" section on creepypasta.com nowadays.
I've no idea what creepypasta is I thought the last part might've been crap but that the initial suicides might've been true
Wouldnt the text have appeared in the rom somwhere? It would have to correct? That game has been picked through for years and years and this is the first time i have heard of this.
Are you seriously asking whether this is real...? I only read a few paragraphs and it's obviously nonsense.
Bullshit. Reads like a Goosebumps novel. Considering how huge the game was the media would have been all over this if it were true.
Its good fiction though if thats what it is Maybe one of our members in Japan could chime in and let us know if they heard anything about this.
Get real. Let's ignore for the moment the fact that the story is completely ridiculous, and read the story carefully. Much like other overly-detailed urban legends, the only person who could know enough details to write the story this way would be someone who was physically present at the scene - i.e. the author would have to have been one of the detectives. How likely do you think that is?
It was a fun read. I can't believe the legitimacy is being questioned... It's a clever story. Enjoy it for what it is.
You chose to waste those 30 minutes, and no one wants/can help you with getting time back. ;-) All I know is, Pokemon games suck, so if the DEV team and tons of kids are committing suicide, (even after just playing the very beginning according to the story) then I believe this tale.
I hate creepypasta I actually bothered reading these ridiculous stories back when they randomly cropped up somewhere with no explanation. Now they're explicitly touted as this "creepypasta" stuff and it honestly ruins any sense of even maybe for a second thinking "what if this is true?", which I think is the whole point since you don't immediately know what is it you're reading till you're done with it. At least, that USED to be the case before noow you immediately know it's a fake boring story from some kid. Plus ones that are as long with all this dialogue like this one just shows off the person's awful writing skills, more so than telling an interesting story.
pretty obvious it was fake since it was written with american pokemon names, it was called pokemon - not pocket monsters, and it mentions missingno. Missingno being absent in the Japanese version.
I'm not reading that whole thing. I read the first few sentences, though, and it sounded like bullshit to me, so I didn't bother with the rest.
