If you don't want to just chunk the disc out I would pay to have them posted to me to check out. I have a chip in my PS1 but never use the thing. Thanks for the look at them though as I always loved seeing these in the DC myself not sure why everyone always hated them and tried to remove them.
Pouet nuked the army men one because it looked similar to the Smurfs one and labelled it a duplicate (I think). It looks similar but the bottom message is different...
Saw that too... It´s like the annoying Wikipedia admins deleting articles, which contain useful info but are not "relevant". It certainly was a different cracktro, although the codebase for the intro was likely 95% the same. Why delete, it´s not like it would disturb anyone and it is a piece of cracktro history... which is now NOT archived and will be lost in future times when all CDs arfe rotten. [/rant]
forgive me if im missing something but arent these extremely common? they are applied to the original ISO with a PPF image, very easily available, are you suggesting ripping the intro's etc from the discs and storing them?
I agree. You can still find a lot of PPF's at consolecopyworld. btw, Paradox released a demo cd which contains lot's of cracktro's. It's called Paradox Intro Collection number #1. Probably it's still available somewhere on the internet.
Paradox Intro Collection [PSX] = pdx-coll.rar, pdx-coll.rar.00 - pdx-coll.rar.26 Deadline Caught Me [PSX] = pdx-dlcm.zip Her-collection [PC] = pdx-herc.zip Rest Home [PSX] = pdx-resh.zip They also programmed Thrill Kill from the looks of the credits screen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EEeNSRUpKc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCXlrjTiqZs very much the same style as the Deadline Caught Me demo. Which later got released as Wu-Tang : Taste the Pain.
Hey OP please don't toss these out, PSX scene rips are hard to come by and I for one always loved seeing them in DC games. If I pay shipping my I have them for my collection?
Scene demos. Man, for someone whose first console was a C64, it was quite nice seeing them again during the PSX and DC era. Thanks for preserving this stuff, man!
I've got the Paradox Intro Collection around somewhere on CD. It has practically all of the PSX scene intros/selectors/trainers made by various groups. It would be missing a few though that were released after the disc was compiled. What I would actually love to see is a huge pack of all the ppf patches made. It would be really sad to see them lost to time.
