    Long story...

My friend had a falcon 360 that he could not read the nand on. He sent it to me and I tried both my nand x and my jr programmer. Jrunner would say flash config 0x00000000 can not continue.

I tried both top and bottom point's. I even reflowed the south bridge as someone suggested to me.

So I had a cygnos v2 rev f and e sitting here and decided to try that to read the nand.

Downloaded the latest cygnos toolbox app. installed driver's.

Then soldered in the cygnos. Work's great. Read the nand 2 times really fast too.

Tomorrow I will install a coolrunner rev c in it and rgh1 it to latest dash.

Figured I would share this in case someone else has this problem reading the nand on a xbox360.

I had the same issue with my jasper and I own the 2 nand readers and got same error. Unfortunately something must have written or did something to the nand so it wont boot at all but some months ago I did make a backup when it did read the nand, it just won't recognize the nand now. I will have to try that cygnos to see if it can read it and if not then I will have to desolder it and read it with my gq-3x.

Wouldn't you be better using an R-JTAG on a Falcon?

Nah it has 8955 dash. Actually rgh1 has instant boot times for falcons and I already have a coolrunner. Don't want to put anymore money into this then I have.

You might be better with a cygnos v2 rev e instead of rev f like I used. It works for dual NAND. If the NAND on the jasper is toast you can use the cygnos NAND to boot. Also reflash the jasper NAND too to see if it works.
You can buy a demon too from tx if you can't get a cygnos rev e. I have 1 left but may save it for the next phar rgh 2 I do.

Ive had this too, seems like a problem with the SPI interface. If you go directly to the chip (like the cygnos does iirc) it bypasses the issue.

GQ-3x and GQ-4x will not read/write nand chips.

Right...well it's all done. I installed a coolrunner rev b and it boots in 1 sec...updated to latest dash on jrunner(16537)

The one problem i ran into was writing the ecc file to the nand....since i couldnt use a nandx or jr programmer in jrunner i had to go old school. I used nandpro in command and injected the ecc file i created in jrunner to the original nand. I had to use a old laptop i had with windows xp too becasue nandpro didnt like windows 7. Then I used cygnos toolbox to write that nand and boot to xell reloaded to get my cpukey...

Then created a new hacked image and used cygnos to write it again. Literally took like 10 sec's to write the nand..super fast with the cygnos.

Gives me a good reason to upgrade my programmer which I have been wanting to do for a while now.
