The save is this one. You can convert it to a .dci file with a converter (and if you have a Nexus card transfer it to your card with the cable) or upload the .vmi and .vms file somewhere and download them with your Dreamcast browser directly to your Visual Memory.
What do you mean by this? Do you have to finish the game or is the file just a true motion video file? Yakumo
Is a True motion movie on the Disk 0 of the game (Staff.avi) It presents the members of WARP and it has some CG scenes from the first D, Enemy Zero and other of Laura at the airplane that must be of the M2 version.
umm interesting... would love to see that video. Just watched the one on the D2 disc... wonder if anyones tried taking the game apart like they have with shenmue...
What is the approx length of the video on D2 disc on DC ? because if it is the same as the one I plan to rip, I think it will be better to get the one from the DC D2 disc.
If you visit shenmue dojo they been poking around on the game files finding old textures, models and other things that dint make it into the final game... D2 is 4 discs and im sure its bound to have lots of things left behind in the gds....
Yeah, Shenmue is full of goodies. There's beta areas, original saturn game models, hidden areas and loads more such as unused chracters, unused textures and unused audio. There's so much extra goodies in Shenmue it's amazining !! Some of the early beta areas look so odd as do the early Ryo, lan Di, Terry and that skinny guy with the big head. I'm sure D2 must be filled with unused or beta code as well. Yakumo
found some more pics of the M2 ver. of D2 http://web.archive.org/web/19961220171458/www.next-generation.com/news/120396g.shtml real-time pre-rendered CGI FMV list of Next-Generation Online news articles on M2 in general http://web.archive.org/web/19961220163022/www.next-generation.com/news/m2.html
Any avi files on a Saturn disc will be True Motion files. For that you'll need the True Motion player. There's one on my FTP for download. Not sure if I have the newer one on there or the older one. Both play the files but the newer one will convert them in to any codec that you have. Other Saturn video files are cpk (Cinipak) which only play on a player made for Windown 9X Does anyone know of a Cinipak player for windows XP? Yakumo
I have a codec that will let you play saturn cinepak files in any normal video player (Ex: Windows Media Player Classic). Ill put it up on my ftp if you'd like. Edit: Although unfortunatly my ftps going down in about 5 hours, and will be down for several weeks (I talked about it in the ftp thread).
If anyone is interested, I have the PC version of Enemy Zero and would be more than happy to share a copy of the M2 footage. However, I'll only do this if there's enough of a difference from the Saturn version (frame rate, resolution, etc.) to justify doing so...
Fabrizo, can you send the codec to me in a mail? Then I can put it on to my FTP for others to get. I'll send you my mail address in a PM. yakumo
ill hope i have the m2 video soon then i can share it with you all (grrr yakumo you made it very expensive =)
