Kids Naughty, So Dad Sells Their Gifts on eBay

HOUSTON (Dec. 24) - A father of three children in the Houston area has gone from playing Santa Claus to playing the Grinch.

The man decided that his children were being naughty instead of nice -- and he's taught them a lesson by auctioning their presents on the popular auction site, eBay.

The man, who asked the Houston Chronicle not to reveal his name, decided to sell off the presents because the youngsters had misbehaved. His children are nine, eleven and 15.

"Three undeserving boys have crossed the line," the eBay listing says. "Tonight we sat down and showed them what they WILL NOT get for Christmas this year. I'll be taking down the tree tomorrow."

His auction posting continues, "This isn't a scare tactic for the kids. This is the result of bad choices that can't be undone. Neither can this."

The man is offering to sell three of the wireless video game systems as well as several games.

The bidding was up to $1,025 as the auction wound down.

"Your e-mails, good and bad, are much appreciated and will be put in a scrapbook for when the boys have their own children," the man writes to those seeing his listing. "Since this has become a bit of a Christmas soapbox, we would like everyone to think about what it says about (our) society and culture when good family values and accountability are taught and it becomes worldwide news."

"My last name is not Scrooge," he adds.

    The auction:

    Bad children, no DS

And the relisted one, with assholes bidding on it as a joke:

Bad children, no DS part deux

    :smt043 :smt043 :smt043 :smt043

I've been pretty damn bad a few times (I'm a very sarcastic bastard), glad my parents didn't do this to me. :smt043

Sounds like a real bastard to me. Too bad people pay high prices for crap like this just so they can get noticed.

it depends of what they did, but i think it was a good lesson. there's so many parents who don't teach their kids these days. Their kids have no respect, breaki everything and jump anywhere and their parents don't care, they let 'em free, without any punishment, without any teaching ..

i'm glad to know there's still real parents in this world.

    ...Merry Christmas btw! :-D

I think a good ass-beatin' once in a while could problably straighten them out.

But sell off all thier Christmas gifts? Damn man, that's like scarring them for life and stuff. These kids are going to grow up to be serial killers.

If my dad did that shit to me I'd be torturing small animals the next day.

The oldest boy dared him to do it, according to our local newspaper. Its everywhere!
The boys fought and swore constantly and one day they went too far, when the dad threatened to sell their stuff.

I'm with the dad. There are far too many little arse holes in this world that think they rule the planet. Fuck 'em. Their dad taught them that he's the boss and that they have to adhere to the rules of life. You only have to walk down the street to see how many little brats there are that deserve a good arse kicking. If they were my kids they'd be getting a good hiding and no Christmas presents !

It's not what he did that got me (Personally think the kids deserved it), it's how much he got for those items that bugs me. 1,000+ bucks for a DS? Hell, I should pull something like that on ebay and buy me a new alienware!

Depends of what the kids did.

My former best friend was a real nice person, but his dad was a fucking asshole. That's the technical term. A corrupt rich bastard that looked for anything my friend treasured it and sold it or destroyed it.

He destroyed my friend's carefully painted WarHammer 40,000 collection - over a petty argument.
He threw his SegaCD to the floor just because he wanted to.
He set things up so that my best friend lost his girlfriend of five years, for good - He forbid him from seeing his best friend because he thought he shouldn't be seen with brown-skinned and non-rich students without girlfriends.
he beat him and his mother until he was old enough to fight back.

And one day, we will piss on this bastard's grave. This, we swore.

So maybe these kids are little bastards and they deserve no gifts.
But sometimes parents grow up to be absolute total assholes, that threaten friends with guns, and take away everything you love, only because profits aren't great.

I, myself, would not bet for either the kids or the father in this situation, and it's very likely to be a fictional "auction with a story" kind of deal, but I personally would find it very abusive that a father did this if it weren't a very serious offence.

Maybe at 23, I'm still a kid - or maybe I'm biased because of what happened to my best friend.

That was some father who did that to his kid. The kid was an asscrack, I forget what he did, but the final nail was he drank some $120 bottle of wine out of the fridge and lied to his dad about it. So his dad (or mom, can't remember which), took all his PS2 stuff and auctioned it off to pay back the wine bottle.

I'm bad sometimes, but idiots like that just make me pissed off.
