I've had this kicking around for quite some time now, because I planned to eventually buy an NR Reader. However, my interest in collecting developmental Gamecube stuff has dwindled considerably, but still I'd be interested in knowing what's on the disc. Judging by the date, though, I doubt there's much of anything.

So, I assume what I'm looking at here can be accurately described as:

    P.N.03 (US/NTSC), August 5?

If that's the case, then it predates the actual US release by about a month. That might be interesting... for a game that wasn't already released five months prior in Japan, like P.N.03 was. The other possibility is that I'm reading it totally wrong.

I guess why I'm posting this here, is that I have no way of actually testing this disc, and I just want to hear some thoughts on what can usually be expected from NR discs of a similar nature. I think at the absolute best, there might be some debugging features, but really, it might just be a near-final US build with some unpolished translation here and there.

Its also possible that its May 8th, since it is a US disk. You're on the right track though, most likely contentwise it is complete, bar some possible translation or debugging features leftover. Thats not to say that there couldnt be other extras on the disk though, it's hit or miss really.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to do with it. I may pick up an NR Reader in the future, but probably not. Perhaps I should just see if anyone with a reader would be interested in it. Better for somebody with the hardware to own it than for it to continue rotting in my collection.

Has there ever been a case of an NR disc being labeled with the wrong game altogether? Not that I'm suspicious of that, I'm just curious.

It's probably the Japanese code on a disc meant for US media preview. The "No 9" written on the disc was probably a way of knowing which outlet was assigned the disc.

Interesting, I quite enjoyed PN03, it'd been interesting to know if there are any leftovers :)

^Yeah, I had fun with the game, too. A bit repetitive, but it was an interesting idea. Nothing like shootin' robots with futuristic Jill Valentine!

I may be wrong, but I seem to remember at least one other P.N.03 NR disc being sold on this website not too long ago. Developmental material for this game at least seems to show up more commonly than, say... the Gamecube Resident Evil titles, but perhaps collectors are just holding those more closely to the chest.

Depending on the price, I would be interested in it.
