Hello, in this thread I'm sharing a pre-release prototype of Daxter for the PSP.

This build is dated Feburary 10th, 2006, 4 days before the release build.
It was acquired and dumped by Jak & Daxter Wiki admin Thatawesomecat.

You can grab the build from the download link here. The game will work on PPSSPP. Enjoy and feel free to post your findings. :)

@AntDRAG are there any known differences or is it just retail?
Most Pre-Release PSP builds I've seen are just the final game on a specially labeled UMD (think NFR nintendo games)

Seems to be retail so far, music and dialogue files are the same. I've not seen or heard of any differences yet.

This particular build came on a DVD.

Do the switches on a dev kit do anything in this one?

I don't own a PSP devkit so unfortunately I can't see how the kit interfaces with the build.

Tried it, switches didn't seem to do anything but I was running it as a retail signed EBOOT so IDK could have messed with it.

That’s what I used but I can’t get it to work in my dev system. Was there some settings that I need to change in imgburn

I think you might need to burn the images in a specific way so that Testing Tools / Development Tools need to read them from a DVD. o.o

You need to make a DTP image using UMDGEN from the SDK, this ISO will not work as is on a dev or even a retail iirc.

EDIT: in other news I burned the build to disc and toggled the switches at random, didn't seem to do anything so that's answered at least.
