Not sure if anyone has seen this or knows about it but seems interesting if we get the game and what it will be like. Source:http://www.xblafans.com/is-daytona-usa-coming-to-xbla-26346.html
and I just finished cleaning off my computer from the news of VF5 FT next year.... DAMN YOU AND YOUR DLC FANSERVICE SEGA
From the look of things it seems that Sega has renegotiated to use the Daytona USA name again, but I'm not expecting much other than Sega Racing Classic with the full theme song lyrics reinserted and a changed title screen. However, since AM2's been on a fan service run lately (with Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown at last on the way as well) perhaps they'll throw in bonus courses from Battle On The Edge and various home conversions, including a console debut for Deluxe/Evolution's extra circuit - better yet, how about giving us content from SCUD Race as well, since this was a spiritual successor to the original Daytona, anyway? Even if we get just the first game with absolutely no changes outside the widescreen HD visuals, this one's guaranteed to be a multiplayer favourite for years to come! P.S. Does anyone know who's making this yet? I'm assuming it's either AM2 or Sumo Digital...
If it is to be the original Saturn Daytona I hope it comes to the PSN. God damn it's a pain in the arse having a banned 360 And before anyone says ''serves you right for being a pirating bastard'' the only reason it was flashed in the first place was to play Guitar Hero customs.
EA seems to have been losing a lot of licenses lately. Lord of the Rings was the most notable recent one, but Sega's ability to use the Daytona name must mean that the NASCAR license isn't wholly in EA's hands now either. Although now that I think about it, the fact that this news came specifically from Australia might suggest that Sega's ability to use the Daytona name might be limited to certain markets. I'd love to be wrong on that point, but I wouldn't mind seeing the Racing Classic nameplate on any North American release of the game.
So it seems that finally Sega woke up and decided to make some money? Let's just hope they give the job of porting it to SumoDigital.
Made by Sumo Digital is what we want because we know they wont mess it up. Oh yes, online VS Daytona
That was Crazy Taxi. In fact pretty much all DC games on Xbox live are poor. They either have shitty filters, missing stuff or just poor ports. Yakumo
I'd love to see this. If they combine SCUD Race, Battle on the edge, 2001 and original Daytona tracks, it would be awesome. Maybe I'm dreaming far too big here, but it's an exciting thought. Would this have online multi-player? That'd be pretty cool.
Outrun 2 does work on 360, at least according to the Wikipedia compatibility list. Which would be good, since Online Arcade is a crap port of Coast 2 Coast.
