well , i it will certainly be a money-making american blockbuster bullshit , but i pray that it will not be like that . and for the vegeta look, well , its not that bad , they can't make it like the manga version , (imagine how they could make vegeta's hair , whit cgi ? :smt043 )

its just like wolverine , would you imagine it in a yellow suit in the film? :smt017

cross our fingers , hollywood adaptations aren't always blockbuster crap (again , think about x-men and spider-man isn't that bad too (well, it differ from the original comic book but ,...)
i didn't now that an evangelion movie was on the making process , any trailers or pictures?

I have seen some of those gay sketches as well, and by the looks of them, they are going to fuck up Evangelion just like they do everything else. The DBZ movie will probably suck too.

I really F'cking hate Hollywood :smt097 :snipe: Things just get worse. After seeing what they did to Thunderbirds (Which I was looking forward too) and now another one in for the treatment, it looks like Hollywood will never understand.

Dude, all the DBZ fans are just crossing their legs to hold that "exitement" from bursting for when they want to see it.

Even though DBZ sux (but great for anime noobs) its going to suck some more when this movie comes out. Just my opinion.

    SUPER SAIYAN 10000000!!

    Amen to that :smt040

After i saw the Godzilla, my girlfriend (at that time) said something like:

    - WTF, they transformed Godzilla in somekind of Tyranossaurus Rex with steroids and a severe case of spots.

Myself and the whole group of friends that went to see that damn movie laughed all night. :smt043

  12. I wonder how they can fill a 2-hour movie with YEARS of trash talking, charging up your special move, and flying through the air? :smt017

Hmmm lets see what do we have here, ah yet another pure rape of a japanese show.
I wonder how many movies they are going to make, here's my view:

    movie 1:

We meet the bad guy after 20 minutes followed by 2 hours of constant talking bullshit and then starting the battle

    movie 2:

We see a way over the top battle with lots of air fights, shooting, doging and of course a lot of good vs evil speeches

    movies 3:

Yes were still fighting some more and keep talking crap about good and bad

    movie 4:

Finally the good guy beats the badguy after charging up some crappy special attack the entire movie while the bad guy and good guy keep talking to eachother during the charging.

Damn i could be a script writer :smt023

    You forgot:

Someone betrays the people they originally sided with

Someone has a secret (accompanied with endless inner monologue "if"-ing and "but"-ing) that is revealed somewhere near the end of the film, which has a huge effect on the (now 7 hour) battle

Oh yes how could i have forgotten about that :smt043

  16. I wonder how they can ONLY fill 2 hours with that stuff. DBZ is, after all, the show that stretched 5 minutes into 20 episodes!

    good one! :smt043 too true!

did you ever notice that every enemys in dragon ball make the the earth shaking , and always , in the Z team , there's someone (like krillin ) that say : "Woahh! he is so powerful, he make the wolrd shaking!! ''
in every big dbz battles , every. from the 14- to the 42 , and everyone is always shocked by the power of the enemy...

i always noticed that , and that always anoyed me! there's on line of text every 5 minutes! that show is so slow! :smt043

  18. :smt043 :smt043 You and Tach were both spot on - are you sure you two aren't involved in the making of the show or movie(s) at all? You've got the formula down!

Whos the bastard that pitched this idea to Fox? He must :smt027

I'm an ex-DB/Toriyama fan, I started watching at least 12 years ago, I'm not excited about the movie to say the least. Why does DBZ sux anyway? Am I an anime noob because of this? Am I the only one here that doesn't hate "DBZ." I don't think people (esp. Americans) give Dragonball enough credit (where it is well-past due), DBZ was an anime landmark. How can the number one anime of all time, literally, be bad? I'm sad that people don't appreciate it just for the sheer fanpower. Goku(h) is just as recognizable as Mickey Mouse in India. For Americans at least it's because what we see on TV (American remakes) are digitally "remastered" & edited from what aired about 10 years previous, yes it is uneventful, immature, and always boring but it requires a special taste, one that the millions of fans have. IMO to properly judge DBZ, you'd have to be 9 years old (the targetted age!), speak Japanese, go back in time to 1989, go to Japan and start watching, surprise of course you'd like it. Right now, its just fashionable to hate Dragonball, only noobs dismiss it as a "noob anime." Lets say someone started watching anime in 1999 (quite a reasonable number knowing the anime populace) and they started out by watching something 1999, say Evangelion. Somehow they can call DBZ a noob anime even though DBZ is no less of an anime than Eva, and chances are, if you're an original Dragonball fan (before the American show even before the Funimation syndicated series) you have years and years of anime on the Eva fan. Surprise, relatively Shin Seiki Eva is a noob anime, also nowadays, 6 years after Eva ended, its more appreciated than ever, perhaps in 3 more years (once it reaches 11 y/o), anime fanboys will bash it for being too popular, probably not likely though since most anime fans are "mature" and Eva is a "mature" anime.

    I used to like it

I used to like it but I got fed up of the redundant episodes and never-ending lame fights *cough* Frieza vs Goku *cough. I also stated watching it when I was 10 so I don't think I was "too old" appreciate it either

I appreciate it but I can see why some people don't. It does not have to be appreciated because it has a huge fan base either. For example, Slipknot has a large fan base but that does not mean they should be appreciated (cliched teen angst lyrics, redundant band members, no solo's, crappy sound, gimmick etc)
