I don't know. So far, I can't find a democratic contender that can win enough votes to get into the Whitehouse, or at least my vote. Then again, I will say the same thing in regards to republicans.
It's a shame that the sheep in this country only think that there can be two political parties, else someone with half a clue about technology could start a decent party (in my opinion).
The democratic candidates have been very... non colorful the last two elections, we should say. I think w/ the common attention span of the average person (mine is low as well) even an awful speaker is better than a boring one as long as he can hold attention. Yeah, the bummer is though, until one of the other parties actually has a chance, I'll vote for one of the two "popular" ones, usually the one I find the lesser of the two evils.
Partially serious? oh sorry i cant read minds. I think we all know rebulicans are in again in 08, the democrates and so boring and cant get off the (seemingly) anti american talking points they have been on for the past 15 years. The democrates are pointless right now, they have played into the hand of special interest for so long they have nothing to offer the country until they get back to the democratic majority. Thats why republicans win again in 08.
All politicians, every single one of them from what I have seen, are working for the special interest groups. That's why we don't have things like net neutrality and better HDTV OTA.
Don't feel bad. Takes years, and years of practice. Means dick. It doesn't matter what the Democrats are doing/saying, it matters that everyone hates the Republicans now... namely the head hancho. His approval ratings are dismal. If the democrats can't get in the whitehouse in 08, they should give up. A monkey is a shoe in.
Micheal Powell is slime, that's all there is too it. He's the one responsible for all the corporate giveaways disguised as "deregulation" that allows one company to own every radio and TV station in the damn country. How many radio stations does Clearchannel own now? Like all of them? The guy's a lapdog nipping for table scraps at the heels of power. Didn't he say he was retireing some time soon? If we had an FCC chainman that like, acutally cared about the public intrest and stuff like he should then we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. There is no advantage to the public intrest in eliminating net nutrality at all. Conservatives are always saying how they want to get rid of welfare, well this is corporate welfare. I say make them work for thier money like everyone else. About our next president, I'm going to make a prediction and say he'll be a Republican. Not that he'll get the most votes, but he will be president. Becasue it's already happened twice before, no reason for it not to happen again.
