I have some debug disks in my possession And i want to try them However i do not have a debug kit and i would like to know Is it possible to run a Xbox debug disk on a modded Xbox ?
Yep, exactly as Pikkon said. There is an exception for some games that have installers, in that you would want to have to XDK Launcher installed to actually be able to install the game (alternatively you can copy the actual game off the installer disk as well).
I have some disks that dont run on modded retail, only on my dvt4. Am I doing something wrong or is it normal for some disks only to run on Dev?
A while ago i have bought a computer parts lot from a defunct game developer (Playlogic) It contained for 60% cables and a lot of controllers/memorycards for xbox and ps2 plus a few dev items like 3 external ps2 harddrives , 3 internal ps2 harddrives It also contained a few burned dvd's and there where a few xbox debug disks among them It also contained a software pack from msdn with membercard to microsoft development network , witch i donated to a game museum here in the netherlands
Youre Dutch Fenix? I wished I bought some stuff like that. always to late or decided to expensive... You found anything more intresting stuff?
In that lot i also found a boxed Xbox 360 controller for XDK and 4 startupcards also Proview 2.0.2 with firewire card and a xbox 360 memory card with a xbox live game on it The whole process toward the final auction sparked my interest in dev hardware . I remember painstakingly studying the auction pictures for dev things The process also brought me a PS3 decha00a witch i stumbled upon in the search for information the guy did not know what he was selling
:encouragement: You sir, made my day. Reading a Happy persons report on how He got into this. Good luck with getting the disks run.
