slightly hijacking the thread here, but hey: Over here in Germany, some schools recently added a one year XNA subscription and the XDK 3.0 and 3.1 to their MSDNAA-programs - meaning that we get the stuff for free. Would a jtagged box be sufficient to try out some stuff made with this, or is there an emulator included for simple programs? I'm just asking because I was never much into xbox development/programming, but since this stuff popped up in my account I became curious.
That sounds like the XNA framework, not really something you'd use a jtag or dev for. You should be able to add that subscription to a LIVE account on a retail box and use those tools.
Yeh, the dreamspark XNA is just on a live account. www.dreamspark.com you can get it on that as well. And no, DOLs are compiled on windows using either metroworks codewarrior GC (I have no license for it) or sn systems prodg (I have a spoofed-MAC license for it)
I followed this guide back in the day, mainly focuses on linux building the bootable iso. Like I said its been a long time since I did anything with GC since GC online emulation syncing. That and that one failed project on RE4 for kev.http://www.gc-linux.org/wiki/Building_a_Bootable_Disc
that's cool, are you making any progress? do you have the chatpad working with it or are you using a usb keyboard?
