Does anyone know if anything was ever released to decrypt XCP files for Xbox 360 demos? I know theirs the Halo Reach tool which will decrypt games on demand XCP's, however it would be nice to be able to decrypt some old betas which are in a demo container / XCP. Cheers for any advice
XCP? you talking XeArcade packages? just use wxPirs, it can unpack just about any Xbox 360 packages. EDIT: infect you posted it on your site.... http://digiex.net/downloads/downloa...0-demos-video-dlc-arcade-game-containers.html Unless you have something it can't unpack?
Xcp's are the encrypted content which the Xbox 360 downloads from the Microsoft servers, when the download is finished the Xbox then decrypts the content. WxPirs can extract this decrypted content, however not the actual XCP.
Is it possible to trick the Xbox and feed it a download over a proxy? Like what people have done with PS3/PS4 content? Not sure if it would work regardless.
That won't work as the key isn't provided to the .xcp file. the reason G.O.D. containers work as they are not encrypted with said key. [Guessing with the size of the container]
Thats similar to what people have done to pull hidden content. Though its not something id wanna discuss publicly.
