This is what's happening, I am playing around with the car performance values in Race Driver 2. The only way these changes will take affect is if I delete the save game files through the stock MSDash. If I delete them using a file manager the changes don't work. Obviously deleting them with the MSDash removes files that simply deleting the save game folder won't. When the game is first started it must install files on the Hdd of my Xbox but they must be in other locations than the regular save game files. Anyone got any ideas on how to find them and where they are stored?
It's probably cached. Honestly, it's been awhile and I can't remember exactly where that is. I think cache is in E:\cache Also, you should have probably posted this in the Xbox forum
I'm pretty sure e:\cache was just game cache and you could safely clear it, however, I honestly don't remember exactly. I'm sure it'd be fine, I just don't want you to ruin anything You could just check the time stamps of the files and see if you can spot the obvious files for your game and remove them. I'd only remove the files inside of cache, not the directory its self, though, it probably doesn't matter.
XYZ drives can have the cache too, which can contain important files (its how the real time (or close to it?) Halo 1 modding was done)
