I've had that picture for a while of a two flap 360. There are a few other variations, one of the pictues they used in the Our Colony viral marketing thing was a two flap 360.

    I did....good memory Old Engineer

I think it was only £3 or something, it even came with the delivery box
which being a sad git I found even more excitng than the unit as it had XENON on it :eek:h:

    Let me find a picture

I must admit I thought it was completely empty

The original link is still there £5.50

This is a very rare and unusual item which is ideal for any serious collector of video game memorabilia.

It is an XBOX 360 XENON DISPLAY UNIT. That is to say, it's an XBOX 360 outer chassis!
These items were sent out to stores prior to the release of the 360 in December last year and were used to display the console before it arrived.
It is essentially a prototype model and a great collectors piece. VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE: THIS IS NOT A WORKING XBOX 360, IT IS AN OFFICIAL DISPLAY MODEL MADE BY MICROSOFT FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES

I love the way they label it 'rev 1' - haha! Perhaps they will revise the parts as a cost cutting measure in the future!

That would make a tasty coaster. :D

Also, it would be great for display, showing off, and hitting people in the head with it when they're at your house.

    ...

    ... I want one now. D:

Or walk around a populated place, like a gamestore, and just drop it.

In Glasgow? Are you kidding me? They'd have picked it up and ran away, been home to test it out, realised it was a fake and sold it down the market before I could have walked to the bush to hide behind!

Being an original Edinburger myself, I am can safely say that there are differences between the two cities.

In Edinburgh, you could place the 360 on the ground and it would still be there 30mins later, albeit with a large Japanese, American and German crowd as some Fifer would have taken it upon himself to lay a hat down, spray paint the unit with some anti-Capitalist slogan and start charging the tourists for his piece of "conceptual artwork". ;-)

Parris, would you like a white eject button or silver tray front? Can grab you a freebie next time I'm at work if you want them to match up :)

Hi, that is kind of you but frankly I like it as is - a bit of a kwirk to it and not sure whether Microsoft released the SKU like that intentionally or because on that particular day a member of production staff was thinking about being in a pub with a foxy blonde and a beer?

That's how it arrived - that's how I'll keep it. Cheers though! I know where to come for spares ;-)

Plug it into a fake TV to complement the fake 360, and itll still be displaying more then your 360 on a real, nice HDTV.

I actually liked the idea of making it into a PC case. ;-)

I would save it as is. It's a really neat item for a collector. Even cooler would be a xbox 1 demonstration case.... lol i suppose you could make your own for dirt cheap just breaking off parts.
