Just noticed it when I logged into steam a couple hours ago. The release date is set for February 23rd. Also according to Polygon, they introduced a tier system for pre-orders based on region. The more pre-orders sold in your region, the more you can unlock on release if you pre-order as well. "Players who preorder the game can register at augmentyourpreorder.com and, as the overall goals for the preorder campaign increase, so do the reward tiers. It's a bit like Kickstarter, but you're buying a game that will be completed and released with or without your money; instead, all you're contributing to is a bit of promotional theater." http://www.polygon.com/2015/8/31/9231725/deus-ex-mankind-divided-release-date
The backhanded swipe at Kickstarter doesn't make me more inclined to like it. Didn't Square do this with another game earlier? Or was it Ubisoft? Where the more people pre-order some garbage the more rewards they unlock?
I think Ubisoft pulled a similar move with Assassins Creed before. I was super excited to see it have a release date, but this pre-order move does leave a bitter taste.
