hi i got a X360 Devkit but no PSU tried a normal retail psu but theres no sign of life is this normal? i heard you get red ring if you dont have the correct psu? and is there any way i can test if its working without the 213w psu?
yeah it has the sidecar i see a small bleep in the sidecar when i plug it in then the psu light goes red that normal?
i was reading that if i remove the sidecar i can run with retail psu as the unit still has the seal on is this a good idea will de-value the unit any?
Use an ATX PC PSU instead of removing your sidecar ;-) Here is a tutorial : http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=504573
im waiting on a psu to come from someone here on AG but just wanted to test the unit out its a black/gray devkit with hdmi so dont these run on lower power anyway? was brand new tho still in its packaging but just the main unit and a welcome letter
still waiting for my xdk psu? for the moment you can: 1. remove the sidecar and try a retail psu (203) 2. try this solution: LINK (the one I sell to you is full working)
I dont know if this helps but i have a few 360 bricks that work with all Test/debug kits and Retail kits. The model number is DPSN-216BB-1A it is a 213W psu t he only thing thing is this is a 200-240V brick If anyone needs more info on test kits or anything just pm me. i've got a few sitting around and i'm bored at the moment
i heard that you can use a xbox elite power cable. im not sure if it works also im not sure if it works with a side car
