Devkits: Where do you get them?

I also search for a long time for a Xbox360 XDK, but in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, I think no console.

Im abroad or from US Ebay I do not want to buy when the money is gone, it is my bad luck.

Unfortunately, my English is very bad, and I know of no one speaks German.:crying:

You did it well in the USA and UK, in Germany, I never get an Xbox 360 XDK.:-(

 

I guess german developers are more serious :lol:

Theres plenty of devkits around in Germany aswell, just not as easy to find. Get some old magazines and email/call random authors for stuff. You might end up lucky. This way I scored 3 old ps1 debuggers and literally 2 bags of review/preview cdrs. The guy was pretty local too.

 

You would be surprised what shows up on craigslist from time to time.

I seriously don't know how Devshack is still in business. I never see people in those stores...

 

One of my favorite ways kits are acquired are as "spontaneous compensation". The industry is notorious for awful pay and running out of cash on a project. So if the boss says "sorry, project, pay and job canceled", it's time to collect.

Not that I've ever done it, but I always found it an amusing story.

I, for my part, got debug console from this board. Plus a Test ps2 from a developper (^^)

they're not using those ps2 so...

i'm just like you, if i could get my hand on a XDK or a debug xenon :d

There's an overpriced demo kit on ebay, the link is in the ebay thread. That's the only person selling one at the moment, and with the Euro->USD exchange rate, it would be 444 Euros starting out.
