I dunno, may the Lich king escaping from his ice tomb, Maybe its a Dark Templar breaking out of the minerals in starcraft. who knows, I almost doubt its diablo iii, unless your going to start killing tyrael. The prime evils are dead, diablo in the hellforge, baal gets his nuts taken off, and mephisto, he took it in the back. And there are no soulstone for them, no smashing for gems in some insane persons skull... I'm much more likely to believe that it has something to do with StarCraft II, probably some protoss breaking through the ice of the frozen throne of WoW and into something better, maybe is world of starcraft. seriously look at the current splace, there are tiny dots next to the eyes that almost look like stars.
I don't know. My initial impression is that it looks less like D3 with today's update, but after seeing this, I really have to go with the D3 theories:

At first I didnt care because I thought it was anything BUT Diablo 3 but when I found out it WAS, I was interested. I looked at some screenshots, and well, they look good, but where is the gritty and grimdark setting? It really really looks like WoW. I was hoping for something darker. But it was just barely announced anyway. I'll probably get it. The only thing that kept from playing the first two Diablo games was the INSANE price tag on the box set that hasnt changed in over 6 years, and Im too lazy to pirate it.
New class confirmed, the Witch Doctor. Witch doctor can cast out locus swarm, which spreads between targets and deals damage. Can summon mongrel things that he can cast locust swarm on, which buffs their damage. Outdoor environment now. Quite pretty in that vibrant, slightly cartoonish Blizzard graphical style. Like with StarCraft 2 and it's similarities to the original, Diablo 3 looks and sounds, at least at a glance, quite similar to previous games. Witch doctor also has a mass fear type of ability. Wow, it was Diablo 3. That's cool. I didn't like the first two too much, but I didn't get them anywhere near when they came out. There kind of fun though.
