DiCaprio to make a live-action version of Akira

I just mentioned it becos is kinda weird that from all the people out there is dicaprio the one producing this movie.

Dunno, I'll say tarantino was a higher possibility

I cant think of a way to make a live-action movie about that franchise that isnt both chessy and ridiculous, and if they do avoid that then it isnt DBZ anymore.

 

dicaprio made a bunch of decent movies.. im more worried about whos going to direct it? :katamari:

 

I never said it wont be cheesy and ridiculous. I just said it's another anime to live action

The idea of a live action DBZ movie makes me laugh.

A live action Akira COULD work because none of the characters, except maybe Tetsuo have to use 5 cans of hairspray every day. I might go watch it.

Speaking of live action anime, has anyone heard anything about Evangelion? The live action? There's also a lot more animated content coming out. Hopefully its more than 5 minutes of new content.

 

I'm pretty sure the dude in my avatar has DBZ ish hair. IMO it's not THAT unrealistic. Look at the goku on the far right in your first picture, if his hair was a bit thicker he'd actually have goku's hair style - realisticly.

That said, it's the super saiyan 5 that makes me go "wow. no"

 

The movie doesn't hold a candle to the manga. It is really that good.
