Sorry to bring up this old thread but I was reading into a topic with Ura Zelda I forgot about and it seems Nintendomad got quite far into securing a copy? And he knew quite a bit about the development of it too? ASSEMbler did he go into detail more about this with you? Maybe more about the contact?

Would love to know more just hope this post isn't treading on touchy ground.

It's a discussion that has no good end. He's gone and the stuff is with his mum, girlfriend, or in a skip.

I'm unfamiliar with this entire situation, but I believe it would be inappropriate to hound his loved ones over these materials.

If someone knows them personally it might be correct to tell them that what they have is rare and worth a good sum of money. But from a stranger on the internet it most probably would be ill-received, especially if it's a buying offer.

Maybe one day they will search the Internet to figure out what it is or to read past posts of nintendomad, and then we might learn more. But for now the most respectful way to act is to wait and let them in peace.

    That is unfortunate.

I was thinking more the contact than his family. The post I read said the seller in Japan didn't end up wanting to sell it (due to the attention it would have got from Nintendo) not sure if things progressed after this post.

Honestly any information would be great as I know a lot of people would want to know more about the development of Ura and find out what it actually was. To say the game was complete it's a shame the little information there is out there on the title. I've only come across interviews and speculation.

Agreed. Still, if someone knows them, it would be nice to know that they still possess them.

It is interesting how this topic is still discussed today, so many years have passed. It would be hard for us to find out more about Nintendomad's prototypes and Ura Zelda 64DD development notes, but as Bramsworth said, Importaku would be the one to know.

This is where Nintendomad mentions that he learned about Ura Zelda from a friend, and that it is rumored that the owner of the man who sold the blue disks to coreycorey2000 supposedly had a copy.

edit:accuracy, I fixed a fact that JamesMichael clarified below

If you re-read that thread you will see coreycorey2000 doesn't have it and never has, Barc0de cleared that up. It was thought for quite some time coreycorey2000 may have had Mother 3 builds on 3 blue disks but it turned out to not be the case. The contact Nintendomad has was directly in Japan it seems.

Honestly there has been much speculation what Nintendomad may or may not have had. One was a copy of the much sort after Twelve Tails/Conker 64. I guess we'll never know only he did and possibly a few contacts on here. What we do know is he contributed a lot on here and to the community which I'm sure a lot of people are thankful for.
