did you saw the theatrical teaser of SW Episode III?

just watched it on tv. i'm not a big star wars fan, but it looks pretty good. They finally kicked that colorfull and joyfull world staring jar-jar binks style to something that looks more like the old episodes (4, 5, 6). i think i'll finnally rent episode 2 just to see the third.

 

I liked where it had the two large ships (star destroyer and something else) fighting over crosaunt, and then there was like this little ship flying around one, putting out fires on it's hull. Details like that make Star Wars awsome.

 

The trailer kicked my ass and renewed my faith in Lucas - this could possibly make up for the abominable Episode I and the improved, but still mediocre, Episode II.

The best part of the entire trailer? The glimpse of Darth Vader at the very end. That's what I'm talking about.

BTW, for our Dutch and Danish members - doesn't 'Darth Vader' translate to 'Dark Father' in one of those languages?

NEver mind... I got one. Nice trailer, but then again, they all looked pretty cool. At least this one isn't so happy-happy-joy-joy. Fingers crossed for a Natalie Portman full-frontal scene!

 

I thought it was an excelent trailer, the music when the shit hit the fan (anakin kicking the jedi's arse) was fantastic, it was like the music when Vadar turns from the dark side and tosses Emporer palpatine down the shaft in ROTJedi...excellent fantastic stuff.......and wookies!! woohoo..........ahem.......**geek dial turned down back to normal**

This could well make up for epI and II......

 

Okay, thanks. It's probably Dutch or something - I remember reading somewhere that Darth Vader actually translates to 'dark father' in a language from that general northern European region, I just couldn't remember what it was.

 

I've always had faith in this one. I can't wait to see the Emporer bitchslap Mace Windu. H's had it coming.

Apparently Yoda faces off with the Emperor in a "test of the force." I know this becasue I just bought a box of Star Wars Cheese-its and it had a synopsis on the back. And (using logical Star Wars geek force powers here) Yoda is going to have to lose (hence when he says "Beware the powers of the Emperor' to Luke in ROTJ.) So Yoda gets owned in this one.

Annakin vs. Obi-wan, and Yoda vs. Sideous. This is going to be rad.

 

Well, actually, "Vader" means "father" in Dutch (which caused a lot of wonderment when I was a kid) but I have no clue of Darth means anything.
And I have no finally grasped the truth - Jar Jar Binks was created only to be left out in Episode III in order to subliminally please the viewers into liking the movie more, no doubt about that now ;-)

 

Well he still might throw in a planet of Ewoks!

I really think jar jar binks was created only to be sadicly destroyed at the end of the third, which could be the best end of the story ever made.

 

Jarjar was the biggest pile of shite ever invented in a movie i hope he dies a horribly slow death which we can all enjoy.

I can´t wait to see this movie. The scene where Papaltine take his lightsaber and go nuts against Mace Windu is the best scene I have see yet on this new trilogy.
