Diddy Kong Racing was and continues to be my favorite racing title, Mario Kart holds no interest for me. Always wanted a sequel.

 

Awesome stuff man, id love to get some time to make some videos but as time goes on it seems less likely.

 

Just send stuff to me Hopefully youre still nabbing up some good stuff in the meantime.

 

Diddy Kong Racing is also my favorite racing Title. And I really don't understand why people only talk about Mario Kart 64 when it comes to N64 Racing games. In my opinion (it is only my opinion) Diddy Kong Racing is far better than MK.

Upgrade systems sounds similar to the DS release of DKR.

 

Reminds me of Sonic Extreme in that a third party dev was trying to get the rights for a big franchise. This game doesn't look like the type of DKR sequel I would expect, not surprised it wasn't greenlighted. They should have made it their own thing though. As a DKR it wouldn't have met expectations undoubtedly, but it could have possibly turned out pretty good as something else.

 

Mario Kart 64 doesn't look like it has any unlockables to me so everything is available day 1, DKR takes time to unlock additional characters and the huge number of tracks which is work and work is hard. I need to go back and unlock everything for my cart but being an adult is time consuming and burning the hours necessary to unlock TT was possible when I was a kid. I don't know how many hours we spent on all those tracks only to have the cart get stolen.

Shame the DS remake sucked ass. I did not like the mechanic change to get the boost at the start of every race. Gimme some 3DS remake plz.

 

I don't know much about Mario Kart unlockables, but for sure, DKR was awesome with the story mode, the bosses, the Hub, the three different vehicles availables, and many more things....The music is awesome too !

As you did, I have spent hours (maybe monthes) playing this game, alone or with my familly. Sunday morning was almost all of the time blocked for DKR session with my father, brothers and sisters.

I totally agree about the DS remake, I was a bit disapointed when I bought it. I guess that Nintendo isn't looking to release/publish another DKR racing game as it may affect Mario Kart sales.

Love the Diddy Kong Racing, such great tracks graphics and music. Plus the boss races were so much fun as well as the silver coin challenge.
