Can someone explain the differences between a Debug and a Development Kit on the original Xbox. I have a DVT4 and obviously it has extra connections but Im not sure what they are for or what they connect to.
They connect to a raptor card? I think that's what it was called, It's for DVD Emu which for people like us is not that important but for making a game its super convenient. Also they look cool and as such give you a +2 to your roll.
Raptor card yes. Basically, a DVT-4 vs an Xbox Debug Kit is the same as a full devkit/XDK 360 with sidecar vs an XDK 360 demo kit without the sidecar. Basically do the same thing but in the old school Xbox realm of things the dvt4 has the "sidecar" bits inside the taller shell. Enables the dvt4 to run files from the PC the raptor is inside because the original intention was the internal 8gb HDD inside wasn't to be replaced like we all have done now and we all know how little it takes to fill the stock 8gb up with builds.
