But Danish people were sent to Germany for work, since the Danish government wouldn´t pay them support !

And after the war, they came home, and were fraimed as traitors, and none of them were Traitors, since the government said to them, that they should work in Germany, so they could get money.

Whatever. You can't runaway from your past. America is reminded about its dark days: slavery, segregation/racism, Japanese relocation camps during WWII, McCarthy anti-communisn trials, displacement of many native americans.

So, Germany deserves to be reminded that it killed about 6million jews and forced the world at war with it as well as any other country that fucked up at one point in their sovereignty.

DK would've been annihalated even if they helped Germany or not because they weren't part of the "master race". Germany (Well Hitler plus all his followers that he convinced) had a vendetta against the Jews so they wanted them eradicated first. Which is also why the muslims in Iraq, Saudi, etc back in WWII openly welcomed the Nazis. If it weren't for Great Britain fighting hard and keep control of their oil supplies, the allies wouldn't have won the war.

 

I as a German find this video rather funny, I laughed, so thats that. Every country has some dark past(and yes ours was pretty dark in that time), and I think this in not a good place to discuss these things, since we all have our opinions.

I'm not pissed, since I know this was made during the war, and this is all related to the past, not the recent days.

Its more amusing and interesting in a certain way, because it shows how propaganda worked back then. I think that those videos are more a piece of history and nothing else.

One more thing: I hate it if peolpe cant distinguish between been patriotic and been a nazi. If I hung up a normal german flag, peolpe think I'm a nazi, that is pretty lame and it shows me how stupid-minded these peolpe are. Hanging up a nazi-flag, which is forbidden anyway would be fucked up anyway and that action would be lame. So making comments like "nazi" for having a german flag on a car or similar shows me how stupid these people are. Get an education!

 

Well let us talk history, the thing is, the "arian" is in resemblance an "archtype" of a Scandinavian, high cheekbones, tall, and blond hair, so I wouldn´t say that DK would have been eliminated, but perhaps asimilated instead into the "third reich" ?

Well, it kind of becomes mandatory to help your neighboring country when they have hundreds of tanks and thousands of troops occupying your land. There were collaborators in every country the Nazi's took over, you can't single Denmark out. The Viche French, Asutrians, Poles, they sent just as many people to the ovens. Becasue what happened was the strongest military power on the continent swept in and took over, they didn't have much of a choice.

It's hard to think what you would do in such a situation, but at the time people didn't equate Nazis with evil like we do today. The whole Final Solution was kept secret from the general public, all the people in conquored lands knew was that the Nazis swept in, got rid of the communists, took away the Jews to someplace they didn't want to know about, and made the trains run on time. Imagine you're a 30 or 40 something man with a family in Denmark in 1939, all you see is your country get invaded and taken over and suddenly a new government is in power; you don't see the gas chambers and ovens becasue those things aren't happening to you. To you it's business as usual. And I think we can judge the people at that time by the fact that when the Nazis starting getting stomped out of existance they didn't do much to help them out.

I have too much "foreign" blood in me, to be a racist. I know that some of my family was from Scania (Skaane/Skåne), and I know I still have family over there, since my grandmother was a Skåning.

And I think, since I don´t know, but I have a feeling, that on my mothers side, some generations back, than there were some "foreign" blood too.

If I really have to be exact, then I am in many ways, a third generation imigrant. But at least I love Denmark. Since that is my home.And I love my language, so much, that I sometimes hate when people are breaking it up in pieces. Where the japanese have Engrish/Japrish/Japlish, then we Danes have Danglish, and I don´t hate the English language, I just feel it is sad hearing the Danish language getting screwed over by words, that you easily can handle in Danish. Since there are equivalents of the words.

 

Well, I don't know how it was, all I'm saying is we can't really single out Denmark as a nation of collaborators fifty years after the fact. Becasue pretty much all of the conquored nations in Europe had puppets in charge.

Also, just because you have jewish blood (as well as other ethnicities) in you does not automatically not make you a racist. You can still hate Africans for their color of their skin, Japanese for the way they look and talk. It does not matter. You can be a Jew and still discriminate against your own ethnic background. Just because I'm hispanic does not mean I'm not a racist or not prejudice. I can discriminate and prejudicely profile against other latin cultures like Dominicans, Mexicans, Colombians, etc.

Why are you always bringing attention unto yourself when someone here says something that they are trying to be funny or whatever and you come in, say somethign, and then let the topic get out of hand like this by saying things like this in regards to your country, family history, etc...

The original poster posted a video of Donald Duck in a WW2 propaganda film because it was probably his first time seeing such a film and was astonished to believe that film makers would make such things where nowadays such cartoons are considered to be racist, etc.

Hey I got a bad behavior also at times, but normally I try hard to be a good human being, and anyway I don´t always bring it up.
