Exactly. You brought it up in another, and then brought it in this one.....

This is exactly the kind of thread that does not belong here. But nooo, everyone had to bitch and moan to the point that mods won't close (most of) these topics anymore.

Seriously, take the racism/political/historical debates and discussion some place else. It doesn't belong here.

I remember seeing a Warner brothers cartoon where Adolf Hitler personally flys a plane to drop a doomsday bomb and a patriotic little gremlin foils him.

You tend to back seat moderate a lot :eek:h:

Calm down, this site has plenty of mods and our trusty admin, who does what he sees fit! It'll be ok, take a deep breath... feel better now?

I love the way people people born at least thirty years after the end of the war still bang on about it. I personally loathe seeing the same tired 'joke' tabloid headlines everytime England plays Germany ('Achtung surrender' anyone?) and people banging on about 'two World Wars and one World Cup. Apart from being exceedingly moronic, it also emphasises that, as a nation, the UK apparently hasn't done anything of worth for sixty years except win a football competition. Once. Forty years ago.

Yes, countries need to appreciate the damage they have inflicted on others in the past, but the important thing is that it is the past. People need to stop defining countries by the negative aspects of their history.

So Disney made an anti-Nazi propaganda film sixty-five odd years ago. Whoop-tee-fucking-do. I don't know if toubabokoomi was shit-stirring on purpose, but can people grow up a little round here?

Only because I have seen entirely too many places like this collapse in an extremely short period of time due to seemingly innocuous discussions about politics and religion. Is it really that hard to steer away from these two topics?

And I just want to clarify that my comment above was not an attack against the moderators. I think that they have always done a fine job. I was just trying to point out that people complained enough about threads being closed, even if justified, that the moderation policy was changed so that threads are no longer closed.

You know fellas, this thread is like a test of the new policy. They said they wouldn't close any more threads once they drifted into taboo topics because we have the right to speak our minds. But the trade off is that we have to like, repsect each other and everything.

I get where you are coming from. I don't like seeing political threads either, because people get all caught up in them (I know this first hand!), but what I'm saying is you shouldn't try to assume a position of authority if you hold none. If you want to make a difference, take up your stance with the Admin (he already said he would take in consideration what the members say!), instead of trying to boss people around, because then you just come off as an ass, and I'm not trying to insult you at all, so please don't take it that way.

Or maybe you could make a poll in the feedback section, asking members if they would like to keep the new moderation policy or go back to the old one. Majority rules, remember?

Just trying to throw out some helpful hints, so you don't garner bad rep :110:

Well, I personally could cry you a river of tears, but theres only so much wood to build a boat from the world's smallest violin, but that cross you have nailed to yourself seems buoyant enough.

Bah, I would rather just yell at people.

Never claimed to have any power, though I can see how someone could interpret my comments in that manner.

that has to be the funniest thing i've read in a while.
After reading this thread, i've decided that everyone here needs to get laid, smoke a little weed, and just relax a little.

Hey Albinolove: I take the get laid part, and the relaxation part, if it is fine with you ? meaning, that I get laid, with a fine Mexican woman in my mind, and then relax afterwards ?
