Disney Infinity 3.0 Music Request (Preservation related)

Normally I wouldn't request a music rip from a recent IP like Disney Infinity and appologies if this thread breaks any rules however this is one time I feel the need to make this request because IDK if this is going to be up forever and I feel it's worthy of preservation.

What I'm after is a lossless FLAC of the Darkwing Duck theme that was added into DI 3.0 without the sfx from in-game

Some people may be wondering why I'm after this particular theme, well it trurns out that the Darkwing Duck theme that Disney added in 3.0 is actually the original opening theme as heard when the series debuted on Disney Channel back in 1991 (for those that don't know when DD started on Disney Channel in 1991 they used a more Rock & Roll version of the theme song now commonly known as "The Original Theme", however when the series went into syndication and on all subsequent airings and releases Disney switched to a more Jazz based theme song that first appeared in UK airings of the series).

This is a big deal for a few reasons.

1. This is the first time in over 20 years that Disney has not only officially acknowledged this theme's existence (after the series went into syndication the original theme faded into obscurity and is extremely rare aside from 1 YT video) but the first time in over 20 years that disney has officially used this theme.

2. Because this theme is coming from Disney directly the quality of the audio is probably 10x better than the only other source available on the net (which is a YT video of a VHS recording) that in itself I feel makes preserving this worth something since no-one knows when or if Disney will change it to the later jazz version at some point and I'd like to see it preserved before that happens, because this might be the only chance people have to save this piece of history before it possibly disappears forever.

If anyone can help me with this I'd greatly appreciate it.

If I understand the steps correctly, you need to add the Disney 2.0 Power Disc for Darkwing Duck's Ratcatcher to DI 3.0 and then board the Ratcatcher after it materializes after using the power disc and the theme should start on its own after a few seconds (that's my general understanding of it , you might have to use a button to change the music as well, I'm not entirely sure as DI isn't something I'm too familiar with but I do know for sure that you need the Darkwing Duck Ratcatcher 2.0 Power Disc and you have to be on said Ratcatcher after adding it into the game world).

 

I'd imagine it'd be potentially easier to get it out of the PC version.

But really, all someone has to have is some decent recording equipment. And record the output without doing anything after the music starts and trim the waveforms after recording.

Thanks Borman this definitely sounds 10x better than the VHS rip on Youtube, I'm still trying to find the original file in the DI 3.0 data and I might have found it however I ran into a problem, during my search I started finding .wav files (I found tons of them mostly only a few KB, but I'm primarily focusing on the ones that are over 1MB in size since those are most likely to be it) however I for the life of me can't open them to check, I've looked at the header in HxD and they seem to be the usual WAV format (based on how the header is in comparison to a WAV that I can open) however nothing I try will open them be it VLC, WMP, heck not even Audacity can open them so IDK what the problem is (I assume there's some kind of encryption on the files IDK) does anyone know how these files are encoded or how to open them?

 

I mean really, there isn't going to be a huge difference even if you find it.

 

The whole purpose of all of this was to get the highest quality version possible for archival, and while your MP3 is a great indicator as to how much of a leap the quality is (and I'm very grateful that you took time to record and share it, the quality was actually alot better than I could have imagined), from an archival standpoint MP3 is known to be a lossy format which is something an archivist would more likely than not frown upon, for general listening purposes it's great, but the end goal here is archival, think of it this way let's say there's a movie in both 720p and 1080p would you use the 720p version of the movie for archival if the 1080P version existed and retained more information of the material and is more suitable for archival in comparison? It's a similar principle here, I apologize if it sounds like I'm coming off as ungrateful about this (and I'm not trying to be) I'm simply trying to explain what it is I'm trying to do and why I'm doing it.

I'm starting to regret even asking for help with this, all I was asking for was a simple lossless FLAC file nothing more nothing less, but it looks like i'll just have to get DI 3.0 and rip it myself.
