LG are turd too. The build quality s pretty poor. Sure, they are packed with high tech but they wont last.
It's like anything really, if you want good quality you will have to pay extra I had a 22" Foehn and Hirsch LCD for £120 and a 25" Hannspree LCD for £160 They where ok for watching TV but when it came to video games they where garbage, even through HDMI they had really bad bleeding/bluring issues, like the small text on the phone in GTA IV was unreadable. When I used my computer on them text like this would have pixles around every letter. I got this 32" Samsung about 6 months ago for £500, it's so thin and has a super sharp image 3 HDMI ports and can play every kind of video file avi, mp4, mkv and looks great on video games and movies. It's the best TV i've had
32" for 500GBP? There's only a few in that price range, really nice. I paid $500 for my 42" Panasonic Plasma, nearly 0 input delay, 3 HDMI ports, 1 SD card, 2 USB ports, ethernet port for Pandora/Netflix/ DLNA media streaming. Plasma's give much better picture quality and are cheaper (simply because they're cheaper to produce). PLUS there's no such thing as motion blur on a plasma! I'll only get a LCD if I need a smaller screen than 42". Unfortunatly less and less companies are making plasmas and their time seems limited. :/
The Westinghouse that makes TVs is not the same Westinghouse that is owned by Toshiba. Toshiba owns the Westinghouse that makes nuclear reactors, while the LCDs are made by a different, private company that is independent of Toshiba. Both companies license the Westinghouse name from CBS Corporation. (It is possible that Westinghouse Digital (the one that makes TVs) sources its TVs from the same place as Toshiba does.)
