Becasue really if you think about it they're pretty much the same thing.

Listen to how kick ass metallica songs are on that Aplcaliptica 4 chellos CD for the most basic example.

And European Metal takes more from Classical than say Blues orgin Rock music.

Christer-swe: racism now a days is more than just race. but also language and other stuff. And yes I live in an area where some people shout racist every time you basically open your mouth. But to be perfectly fair, then the real racists out here are those who always call the Danes racists. And about my custom title, then I must say. I enjoy classical music, and I enjoy real melodic heavy metal too (which you probably can read in some other threads, such as the metal thread among others). But I can't stand thrash metal, and to me thrash is trash with an extra h in it. But that does not mean I do not melodic power metal or some stuff like that. And then some other note, I really enjoy GOOD trance techno, and loads and loads of other genres and so on so forth. But back to the main issue, no I do not think Europeans have better taste in music. Cause I actually like some of the American music genres too. Hell I love Spike Jones who to me was the first remixer.

Christer-swe, and I am NOT the only Dane who prefer the Björn Afzelius version of Tusen Bitar.

You're the only person who's mentioned this so far, whatever it is. And before you plunge into that tangent - I'm fine not knowing.

I like feel we're at the precipice of one of your lunatic thread-derailing rants, and it makes me nervous.

Alchy: now I am going to say it as kindly as possible. But fuck you very much. Tusen Bitar means Thousand Pieces, and if you listened to the link I gave out to the English version you would have an idea of what the hell that song is about. I think it is something we all wants every now and then, and that is love. The song is about love and about a heart can break into thousand pieces. So please; either stuff it, or get stuffed. Cause if you took a look at gramtrans.com and put this link right here through its transmogriph machine you could get this link which is about how the English lyrics to that song goes. Cause I think, you would not TRUST any source material if you did not understand the language. So please elaborate with all us all uninformed people how many languages do you speak and what are they ? and a final question what languages do you understand but do not speak ?

I speak two languages, fluently by the way. My writing is perhaps another matter, because my grammar is NOT the best . But I am trying to make myself understood right now, in one of the two languages I speak fluently.
The other language is what you DENY DENY and DENY to have ANY clue to "break the code" in. And that is the Danish language, but I understand two more languages and those are Norwegian, and Swedish and I can guess my way through German some times. So if you are trying to piss me off, then you have missed your target, cause I am not angry.

Back to the discussion, it looks like the Europeans has just as great musical taste as the Americans, or just as worse depending on how you look at it :).

Hey GoH I hope you are still with us, cause I think I have said it in the best way when it comes to just as good or just as worse musical taste. There is basically no difference between continents when it comes to musical tastes.

Oh and Alchy from now on, if I post a Danish source you can always try google translate or gramtrans.com At least now you have two tools that could help you, but I have three digital English to Danish dictionaries if you want to figure out some of the gibberish the online translators can not figure out. Or you can just plain old ask me. But no and no I am not going to tell you curses in Danish, since those you can find freely online. Just like GoH found the German curses. But seriously if you want the dictionaries I can probably upload them to you so you could get some help to selfhelp. or you could try to find the Rosetta Stone software . Cause they are not half bad either when it comes translating Danish to English.

When do you learn to shut up already? You always got to find an excuse to go on about being a Dane and your language, and act like people are out to get you. Stop being so arrogant, we get it, you are Danish and speak it. Cram it up your ass already.

Sorry, but this forum just wouldn't be quite the same without WDK. I know that statement might not be quite popular, but he is quite the 'unique' character, to say the least. :katamari:

Bramsworth: the issue between Alchy and I goes back to the Mohammed case, and oh yeah Kurt Westergaard was attacked by some dude with an axe the other day. So basically what Alchy and I are doing is tip toeing around the old issue and has nothing to do with me being a Dane, living in Denmark or that I enjoy speaking Danish or I am a proud (NOT arrogant) Dane. Can we go back to the main topic in this offtopic topic thread ?

    Really?........REALLY?

Mirwais is great though yeah. But we all know the best DJs come from Germany and the UK, not France

Mirwais with a great rub by UK's Dave Clarke (think he lives in Berlin now though)

I was more referring to Daft Punk than David Guetta.

David Guetta made a song with AKON listenable though so he has my respect.

Likewise with Timbaland who made a song with Miley Cyrus listenable (Although the song was still pretty awful)

Well your all forgetting about the best american music genre. Ragtime of course. It's the best kind of music, but that's just my opinion of course, but Who could forget peices such as Maple Leaf Rag, Or 12th Street Rag? Or even The Entertainer? Always wonderful to me.
