Do you keep any consoles around just for looks?

Glancing at my pretty useless gold-coloured Jap N64 with two gold controllers, and thinking of my minty Panasonic Q which I don't use as I have a region-switched GC, it made me wonder: do you have any systems set up just for show or cool looks? Or do you all keep them packaged?

I have my Genesis 2 / SCD / 32X star destroyer set up on my DVD player. Its not even hooked up lol.

I got the parts from junk sales and thrift shops over the years lol and I dont really have a extra place to store it so it just sits there and looks cool.

I've got no consoles around, they're all either plugged or inside of their boxes.
But I've got useless stuff like a GameCube standing in my shelf (boxed) just due to its cool looks, so maybe this counts as what you were asking for.

I've got a lot of Genesis model 1's just sitting around, one painted blue pretty unprofessionally, but it still looks okay. Not hooked up as I have the Xeye with RCA composite and don't have anything but RF for the old Gennies.

Mine are either hooked up or safe in a cupboard away from dust, though I like to look at my Supergrafx hooked up to my Super CDrom2...

My vectrex sits next to the television, it's a great icebreaker.

"What the hell is that thing?"

"Why, that is a Vectrex, and it's ten times cooler than you'll ever be, and blah blah blah etc...."

Nope. I don't have room for keeping shit out for decoration. I've got the Saturn and Super Famicom hooked to the RGB monitor, along with the NES via Composite. Then just your basic 360, PS2, and Xbox setup with an LCD. :p The PS2 may eventually migrate to the RGB monitor when I get a cable for it. Mainly so I can play my Lightgun games again.

I don't think many consoles look very cool other than a few like the PC-Engine DUO, the JVC WonderMega... Both I don't have.

As I've been playing lots of GC/Wii and finally decided to play through half-life1 (only had it for like 6yrs or something :p) I guess I could temporarily count my NES, SNES, N64 and C64 as being around just for the looks right now. Thought I do play on them, just not right now.

I wish I had my own house, or even my own room so I could arrange things I have.

For now, where I live, I ve only got the ones I use hooked up.

The dev stuff stays in their box and I ve got a 64DD+N64 , as well as a couple of standard and non-standard GCs sitting on shelves.

All those become Ice-breakers when new people enter the premises ;)

Have a GC on the shelf along with 9 other consoles...the GC is the only one I do not use since I have a Wii hooked up, but its there just because it balances out the setup (shelf space and what not).

I sort of do. Because I only have enough connectors on my TV to connect 6 consoles at a time, I keep the rest on a big shelf when I'm not using. It's usually full with an SNES, an N64, an NES, a PC Engine, a Japanese PS2, a couple PS1's, and probably some other stuff.

I have the 210 model, it is a nice looking games machine imo, Ive had it from release.

I also like the Wii and the Master System 1, I have both on show and find them visually appealing.

Ive started to grow a soft spot for the PS3 aswell, it looks like a well made bit of kit (I don't own one though)
