Do you think Nintendo should come out with a new GB soon?

nintendo would do well to release an updated version of the ds with an analog thumb stick.

Sorry, i didn't know that 1,5 or 1.5 makes such a difference. Anyway - i think everyone knows now what i meant.

I phoned with a developer last week and he did tell me that they now got PS3 DevKits.
Didn't know anything about that, sorry (i'm not into Dev) - but it's true that Sony gave some out to Developers.

While I am for the DS, the touch screen is piss poor when it comes to controlling games. If there is one design flaw, it's the lack of a analog stick. Hell, they could have easily put on on there...

No we don't. You were wrong man. Don't swap decimal points for commas, ever. It's not another way of doing things, it just wrong. Plain and simple.

That's the way it's done in the rest of Europe, maybe not in the UK but everywhere else they don't use comma's.

Well by europeans i meant excluding the UK. It's used in the majority of europe I've visited, and its been an option in windows for years - try changing your region settings to, say spain - it'll do as i describe

  11. The Americans who really honestly didn't have a problem with the unit's look?

I think people are too quick to condemn both the GBA and the DS. The GBA I think is just now hitting its stride (which sadly in the past HAS signaled a console's impending doom) and the DS is a mere four months old - if you recall, most released systems have a bit of startup time as games roll out, and with the amount of time to create today's flashy games being nearly twice that of old 16-bit classics, there's going to be a slow start for a console released only about 9 or so months after its announcement.

The DS is doing just fine. It's a cool piece of hardware, that's for sure. The PSP is equally cool in its own right, but it's expensive.

If I were Nintendo, I'd drop the price of a DS to $100 on the day before the PSP launches. That would stick it to Sony really bad.

Personally, I think there are enough handheld systems out there right now.
Nintendo would do best to push the DS and GBA for now, and work on a successor to the GBA which should be released in 2-3 years.

Honestly I think for their next portable Nintendo should focus on shrinking down the Gamecube to a portable format in a few years. It's the smartest move business wise for a number of reasons.

    1. Nintendo would only have to refine a current system which is cheaper than developing a new one.
    2. Developers would already have experience with it eliminating crappy launch titles.
    3. Developers won't have to invest in a new hardware/software to make games.
    4. The discs are the perfect size for a portable system.
    5. Battery life will have improved for portable disc based systems.
    6. A large library of titles will already exist at launch.
    7. Nintendo could still sell the Gamecube console.
    8. Best of all Nintendo would have to develop new content because they couldn't do remakes.

In all honesty, all I really want to see are NEW 2D games, but not necessarily touch screen games. That said, while I think the touch screen is cool, I'd be happy if only 25% of the games have the touch screen as a keypart of gameplay. If that means a new 2D only system... so be it.

Well, I can personally vouch that Italy and Finland it's not they way it's done. Regardless, it's still wrong.

hmmm anyway comma = "," what some calls a point/dot/period("......") we in Denmark calls punktum

so maybe some people say 1 point 5 but me ? i say 1 comma (komma in danish) 5

anyway lets hope ninty does not go down.

A quick comparison of using ponits and comma in germany:

1,5 means "one and a half" which is 1.5 in the US. We just use a comma instead of a point.

We use points in huge numbers just to make it simpler to "read" them.
Example: 1.000.000 is "one million" or 86.000 is "eightysixthousand"

i'm pretty sure ninty isn't stupid enough to support not 2, but 3 handhelds at the same time....well, i hope so.
2 is already alot, they should kill the gba progressivly to make the DS, the first PSP competitor, stronger.
