Do you think Nintendo should come out with a new GB soon?

And people who use decimal commas would probably think that people in the UK driving on the left is wrong, or speaking English is wrong, or saying "Euros/cents" instead of "Euro/cent" is wrong (which it is, in English anyway)! What's your beef with commas?

Anyway, back to the Nintendo thing. It would be retarded for them to release a new handheld so soon. I have some hope in the DS, mainly because of the slight innovation they put into it, and if I had a job I'd actually buy one when they come out. The PSP doesn't interest me at all - it just looks like the same old crap, and the implementation of the console just seems crappy and badly thought out.

It would not sell if they released one - And they won't make any announcements as it will hurt the DS' Sales - which are far from Virtual boy level.

Most likely a redesign/price drop for SP, phase out of GBA non backlit, and introduce the Play-yan.

Paper mario was on the N64, N64 has been emulated a long time ago, could be from that. Textures can be ripped from Gamecube iso's if you know how.

If they are going to make a new GB, they should make it a completely new medium (i.e. disc based in some way). Why?

Because it'd completely differentiate it from the DS. If they phased the SP out, then that'd leave the DS as the only available way to play the bazillions of GB, GBC, and GBA games out there, as well as the DS library. That would give certain people a really good reason to continue to support the DS.

Meanwhile, a brand new Game Boy format, disc-based, capable of serious 3D, could, at the same time, offer real nose-to-nose competition with the PSP. This is really the only way I could see a new Game Boy and the DS not cannabilizing each other's sales. The DS is obviously not aimed directly at the PSP, so the new Game Boy needs to be, and it needs to be superior (and I think that Nintendo's certainly capable of such, honestly).
