Does anyone here play guitar?

Well if you were in Florida you would find a band easy,there's so many metal bands here,and I mean alot.

 

Florida has always been the last place I figured metal music would come from, but it's actually been the home of some revolutionary bands (such as previously mentioned Death and Cynic).

 

Don't forget Deicide!

 

iv played drums for nearly a year or would do if i had the space i moved a month ago to a much smaller house and i dont have the space to set them up. i think thats the appeal with the guitar that you can practice it anywhere

 

I've heard of these guys, but I'm sorry to say I haven't listened to them. There's also Atheist, but I'm staying away from them simply because it sounds like their frontman is an obnoxious dick.

The one thing I really don't like about metal is some of the musicians take it way too seriously.

 

Deicide mainly has 2 extremely good albums, there latest, and Legion. Legion takes a few listens to "get it all in" so to say, but it's one of my favorite albums ever. I almost feel unclean listening to it, because it's one of the few albums around that actually sound like real evil to me. They never replicated it though, but the new one came close. They also have about two or three albums that just SUCK, so stay away from those.
