I've used guides on MMORPs (usually, when I wanted to solo) & also on some Japanese import games (where I couldn't read enough to figure out what to do myself). Apart from that, not really. I'm stubborn & prefer to figure out the answer myself, even if I end up spending a couple of days banging my head against the wall in frustration! (Mind you, this might also be why I take a loooooong time to finish games...) ps: Cheese is good for you!
Well I've to see how difficult would be to add a guides section at this point in development, reason why I was asking if you guys think it would be cool to have it cuz if nobody is going to use then I may as well leave it in the drawing board... And BTW: THE CHEESE IS A LIE! THE CHEESE IS A LIE! THE CHEESE IS A LIE!

I like to play a game straight through first with no help unless totally necessary, like getting stuck. Then after I have beaten it on my own, I will use the guide to try play the game again to get 100% or all special items etc.
I only use them for point & click games, if I find myself stuck somewhere or have to retry a level more than 3 times, as I don't have enough patience to try to get the answers on my own, and to know if there's some extra stuff or endings I haven't seen yet.
