Does Wii component AV Cables work on N64?

    ^ Title saids it all! i'm just curious & wondered if i'd use my extra Nintendo Wii AV cords on my Nintendo 64 port will it work? I apologise if it's the wrong section to post just curious is all.

    No, its not even the same plug (but the 64 doesnt output component regardless).

    okay, but it does work with the Nintendo Gamecube av cords instead right?

    The snes,n64 and gamecube share the same av cord,the wii av cable only works on the wii and wiiu.

    The N64 only puts out composite and S video. It will do RGB if you either get a NUS CPU 4 and lower or make the special chip for NUS CPU 5 and later models.

    No component out. Sorry. It could do it if the RGB mod is done first then a RGB to component circuit is added in.

    The Gamecube uses a different cord for Component out as well, so it still wouldnt be compatible even if the 64 output component, which it doesnt.

    I thought i did work? because one time back then i've tried using it cuz of curiosity & i believe it showed up don't remember much testing it out on it alot.

    Nope, you wouldnt have been able to plug it in. It used the digital AV port, not the standard AV.

    PS1s don't output component video, either, so it's not just Nintendo.

    Component wasn't a common thing in 1996, RGB was in Europe though which the PS1 does push.
