I was trying to put together a list of all the Dreamcast browsers of all regions, let's see if you can help me make it 100% complete. Europe Dreamkey Dreamkey (Blue Cover) Dreamkey incl. Dreamon vol. 1 (2 boxcode variants) Dreamkey 1.5 (English) Dreamkey 1.5 (French) Dreamkey 2.0 (red, Austria) Dreamkey 2.0 (green, Switzerland) Dreamkey 2.0 (orange, Portugal) Dreamkey 3.0 Dreamkey 3.1 (Spanish) Dreamkey 3.1 (Portuguese) USA Web Browser Web Browser 2.0 (in CD Case) Web Browser 2.0 (in sleeve) Web Browser 2.0 (in sleeve, variant) Web Browser 2.0 with SegaNet (in CD case) Web Browser 2.62 Web Browser 2.603 planetweb Internet Browser for Dreamcast v3.0 Japan Dream Passport (blue disc) Dream Passport (red disc) Dream Passport Toyota Dream Passport 2 Dream Passport 2 Toyota Dream Passport 2 Hello Kitty Dream Passport 2 for LAN Dream Passport 2 Regulation 7 Dream Passport 2 with Guru Guru Onsen Dream Passport 3 Dream Passport 3 CSK Dream Passport 3 Ch@b Dream Passport 3 Sakura Wars Dream Passport 3 Urban Style Dream Passport PREMIER trial version Dream Passport Premier 3.2 Broadband Passport Microsoft webtv Microsoft webtv 128bit SSL (2 variants) Do you know of anything not on the list?
Yea there is a USA 2.603 browser as well. And there was also the LAN Passport 2 disc for Japan as well.
They are on the list: Dream Passport 2 for LAN and Web Browser 2.603 is the one that is disc-only and was given with the official USA magazine? I think that one is "Web Browser 2.62"
Interesting thread, I'm also trying to locate all PAL version of Dreamkey. What I can add... If the first Dreamkey have these boxcodes : - Dreamkey => 832-0007-05 - Dreamkey (Blue Cover) => 832-0008-09 - Dreamkey (incl. Dreamon vol. 1) => 832-0002-05 This last one have a variant with boxcode 610-7373 / 832-0002-05, you can see here. I know there is also an australian version, it can be recognized with only english on front. For Dreamkey 1.5, there is two versions : english (820-0330-05) and french (820-330-09). For Dreamkey 3.1, there is also two versions : - spanish (820-0755-06 / 832-0069-06) : cube is red-red-yellow and has Telefonica logo - portuguese (820-0755-46 / 832-0069-46) : cube is green-red-yellow
Nice info executter, many thanks!! By the way I sent you a PM some days ago, I would like to talk to you about some things
I remember using the chuchu rocket internet mode to use the Japanese browser it was much better than the plant web one.
The Dreamkey 3.1 had two versions a Spanish one with the telefonica logo on the left corner and the Portuguese one with no logo.
I just checked the Dream Passport Premier disc I have and just noticed it has a browser for PC and Mac, has anyone tried these?
I have a USA web browser disc that mentions "powered by AT&T worldnet" on th front cover. Dont know if your aware of this one
I think there is a Tectoy release of the USA browser in Portuguese, wich came with the modem sold later. I'm not sure if it is only the manual translated or the actual software too, as they stated in some magazines. There's is a Tectoy version of the Saturn's browser too that I've never seen.
IDK if anyone would be intrested in this project idea i have had for YEARS... but I noticed when making my lil DC movie discs back in 08 that most of the browsers plugins and what not for the Japanese browser at least were in simple folders on the disc... Has anyone considered making a new Custom Browser disc?
yep that sure looks like it lol... I was messing with DP3 back in 08 when I was apart of DCF and even released a Few dreamcast discs that i created. Was a dream to get DVD or even HD quality Video on dreamcast using DC movie creator... was fun.
