I don't know why you felt the need to come in here and try to correct me on a post that's a year old but if you would have bothered to read the entire thread, he posted a picture of the disc he was talking about and from the picture it is quite clearly Web Browser 1.0.

In fact the disc you are talking about I own so I am aware of it.

    Regards.

While we've been talking, I picked up the plain version of Web Browser 2.0 off of ebay.
As you can see it's slightly different from the one optimized for SegaNet.

and the disc doesn't mention SegaNet either

So... inside the manual is the same for pages 1-6, but differs when you get to page 7.
It takes most of a page to explain how to sign up for the SegaNet service. As a result, the rest of the information in the manual is behind by one page. [page 7]

The page 8 info "Using an Alternate Service Provider" shows up on page 9 in the SegaNet optimized manual, and it continues on.
The end of the manual is different. The copyright notice for the plain version is on pages 25-26 (SegaNet ver. 26-27). The SegaNet version then has a blank notes page (28) and ends. Meanwhile the plain one has a manual for the Sega Swirl game from pages 27-32.
    [page 28-29, both manuals]

It seems silly to have so many changes for such a minor addition, but the QA department seems quite thorough and really covered all their bases in mentioning their new service offering at all the relevant points.

For anyone looking to acquire the "plain" version of the browser, it seems to be less common than the other one. On ebay, it's the stock photo, so make sure you can see the actual product in pictures before buying.
