Yeah does indeed... what's cool is having the red swirls for NTSC games and seeing them together... like... non-identical-but-very-similar twins.

    aww...

Sephiap, if I didn't know any better I'd have mistaken your covers for the real thing were they to be found on the shelf of a games store! Like most people here, I'm competent with such graphics packages as Photoshop and have tried my own homemade sleeves in the past, though sadly nothing of your quality! One thing I can say is that Sega Europe were quite generous with earlier Dreamcast releases, as they came with artwork that didn't include any logos other than the actual software title or perhaps developer and publisher names. Also, since the Dreamcast launched around the same time many companies first started using the Internet to promote their software, there are plenty of further "clean" images we can now use to create our own alternate designs. If anything, my only complaint regarding the actual Dreamcast cases - in PAL territories, at least - was their tendency to break far too easily, which is why I'd much more have preferred the standard jewel CD boxes seen overseas as opposed to the DVD sized solution you've come up with...

Yeah I hear you, I hate these PAL cases, what crap. I was initially going to do them as jewel cases but then they have to be kept with my music cds to look right.... now they sit side by side with 360, Wii, PS2 games & my DVD's.... nice and neat!

Fucking Blu-Ray and HD-DVD fucking up the standard again... why can't things just be simple?

Everything should be in DVD cases...1 standard, works everywhere and hardly ever brakes.

Got any more PAL cases coming sephiap? I've got a DC in Kent which I use when I visit family there, and some cases would be fantastic, those blue opening ones break a lot, inside and outside.

I'll work on some more NTSC ones soon.

I really like the front but the back seems too empty. Could definitely use some more text and perhaps another image. I like that you're showing the darker side of the game (could have done a white cover with Chao's running around on the back)

Here's a work in progress - I'm still tinkering with the front but I think it'll be close to this - back isn't ready yet (ideas in place but nothing worth showing)

Let me know what you think:

I like it, though maybe you should change the color of the text, or add a stroke around it to have it stand out a bit from the background

Thanks, I set the background color to be a bit darker to help it stand out more... I did border the lettering in white at one point but didn't like it (stood out too much for what i was going for) I also had them at the same exact color at one point which looked great but it blended so well that you would look at it and go "... OH! There's the title!"
