Apples to oranges my friend. I just so happen to like Tank Controls.
    :sneakiness:
Ah that's right, that's what it was.

Most people I know liked WD for the "Americanization" they put in their localizations. Myself included most of the time hah.
And their dubs, I always liked them, but at the same time they didn't have access to a the same kind of talent found in most modern game voice overs. Even for Anime/RPGs.

So it didn't always turn out for the best.

Being located in Redding,CA(2 hours away from where I grew up and in Northern CA) probably didn't help either TBH.

Most companies are located in Major metropolitan areas these days. For good reason I assume too.

    Your age is showing :p

I think alot of people though HATE tank controls. it was fine for a few games but after awhile once new control schemes came to be they started to show their age and controlling just became a pain in the ass.

Hah, I don't think i'll ever hate Tank controls.

For some games, to me it just feels right.

    But to each his own!

Indeed I was looking forward to playing D2 and then when I saw how it controlled I died a bit inside.

Innovative game FOR IT'S TIME though

Dude it's G4, even the narrator sounds like the typical vh1-documentary douchebag

The DC didn't fail just because it lacked a DVD drive but because Sega gave up: see the manufacturing problem, why cancelling the whole thing if you have so many in stock? just keep pushing them until you run out, and if by then you don't have jack shit in terms of profits then yeah, cancel it.

Imagine a 2002 with JSRF, Orta, VF4, HL, T&E, basically all the great Sega games that came out for other consoles

Sega ran out of money to pay suppliers, so they just gave up instead of keeping things going and try to make more money: I remember when they discounted the DC to $50 in Amazon, it fucking flew out from the shelves.

If you are desperate for market share you don't do a firesale AFTER announcing you fucking nuked the entire lineup

Okay rant over, this thread brought back a lot of bad memories.
