    Most of the ordered PCBs are completed. However I haven`t received the cable plugs(DC) yet, they`re stuck in the customs, sorry for the delay. Tomorrow, they will be cleared as I was told. It`s very strict in these days. Then we will rebuild the cables and begin to assemble the boxes.

    Video game systems aren't typically designed to support VGA output... with the exception of Dreamcast and Xbox 360. Goes to show you how ahead of its time the former was.

    there are some tutorials to create a vga for ps2, some chips like matrix have vga mode and gsm can convert games to progressive.

    also convert component cable to vga

    A vga box for ps2 could be great.

    there is an officially released vga cable for PS2 which was once bundled with the linux kit. but I heard that many games not supporting progressive. Also it`s possible to have interlaced 480i (via component output selection in setup) through vga.
    I never own a PS, however I can build a cable with a sync separator circuit to output both syncs, then I can send it to a volunteer for testing. Of course when I am free.

    How many monitors would support that? With component selected, the video encoding is not rgb. Even further against vga standards than 480i.

    RGB must be selected on the main osd, monitor should support sync-on-green and the game should support progressive scan natively or via forced progressive modes with external utilities to use vga on ps2.

    you can create h and v sync signals from green line via sync stripper but you can't strip out the sync signal from the Green channel. that might give problems on some monitors. green tint etc.
