Dreamcast VGA box & Scanline generator

Hi, I'm new to the forum, but I think this may be exactly what I need to complete my setup. I've currently got my Dreamcast hooked up with an RGB Scart cable. This cable runs to a RGB Scart-to-YUV converter, and then finally it is hooked up to my TV with component video cables. While the picture quality is excellent, I've known for a long time that it could be even better with a VGA box. I have a couple of these boxes, both official and third-party, but I can't use either one because my TV doesn't have a VGA port. Additionally, there are some games which don't support VGA, and in those cases I'd like to be able to run in RGB mode without having to swap cables.

I found a guide for how to mod a VGA box to make it be able to switch between RGB and VGA, and output both via a Scart cable, but unfortunately I haven't had any luck getting it to work so far. Perhaps my electronics skills just aren't up to the task I've also noticed that both my VGA boxes are missing the critical C-Sync (Pin 10), which makes the mod impossible. Anyway, it sounds like this product (both the Hanzo and the Kuro) do exactly what I want, except they still output via a VGA port instead of a Scart port. I imagine it shouldn't be too hard to make a simple VGA-to-Scart converter cable myself, or perhaps you would be willing to make a custom box for me with the Scart port instead of the VGA port? beharius, is there any progress on the Hanzo version/addon that would support 31KHz SCART output? I soldered up a sync combiner in my VGA box a while ago and although it works great, there's an artifacts issue when using it with my Framemeister and I plug an ethernet cable into my BBA, appears to be a ground loop issue but despite resoldering it up I haven't been able to eliminate it. I would much rather buy your product.

 

It's a very simple circuit, however I haven't finished it yet, next week probably.
