Kuro VGA Box Get

My Kuro VGA Box finally arrived in the mail today~

Here are some pics:







This is the absolutely most-perfect solution for me; my television has only one RCA input, in which the Composite Input is shared with the YPbPr Green Input, but I also had an unused VGA port. This box is all hooked up to the VGA port with audio provided by an RCA to 3.5mm cable, freeing my RCA inputs. Works perfectly; image is super pretty, even prettier than the pic displays.

I modify the original nintendo cables for VGA, sold few in the last months, don't have any unfortunately.

Regarding the gc component cable, the idea was that I would sent you my cable and you would mod it to vga. Just need to know how much is it? And before that can you confirm me if it will work with this tv: Samsung LW20M21C LCD TV

My Hanzo finally arrived in the mail today, the box was a little beat up, but the Hanzo made it though fine. I had a bit of trouble at first because I wasn't pushing hard enough to seat the connector completely into the Dreamcast, however once I figured that out I was rolling and playing games via VGA, they look beautiful! Worth every penny, thanks!

 

My toro VGA box came in, and it is amazing. The scart cable indeed outputs 480p. I don't know if it's doing 31khz on my monitor (my PVM 20l5 supports the frequency but I guess I have no way of telling what it's displaying in) but the picture looks wonderful.


It may seem costly,yes, but if you need a sync combiner and VGA box, and are interested in the Scart option (I love incorporating it into my switchbox setup instead of having to buy a VGA->BNC cable) then you should definitely buy it and it's worth every penny.

One important thing to note: the RGB and VGA switch is reversed, meaning if you set it to VGA you actually have it set for RGB (480i) When my monitor was showing 480i, I could not figure it out so I asked Beharius who was helpful as always. Once I set the switch to RGB, I got the glorious 480p signal.

 

My Hanzo just arrived. It works quite nicely with the Atlona vga to hdmi converter. I requested the black plexi case color instead of the regular blue.

 

I recorded some Shenmue music using the Hanzo and I think the sound quality is excellent.

Basically I want to get the best picture possible from my Dreamcast (i.e. 480p), but my TV only has Component inputs. Currently I'm using an official Dreamcast SCART cable and this adapter: http://www.js-technology.com/store/product.php?id_product=14, but that only gets me 480i.

 

It should work, not sure about the 15khz RGB compatibility, however VGA mode should work.
Do you want to sell that JS converter?
