Ahhh yes, I think you're correct. I think I had saved the link for the right-angle one because that's all I could find on mouser at the time.

 

I have the part number of both the motherboard and power supply connectors in my notes somewhere. Was much easier to find in a hard copy molex catalogue one of my colleagues had. The website isn't so good imo

 

If I want a PSU of dubious quality I can get one for $15 from plenty of places that have them in stock now.

I just bought 2 DreamPSU's yesterday from the guy that made it. I hear there really good. Looking forward to replacing my old one. It needs replacing because I'm going to get the USB-GDROM in the next couple weeks and it needs the 12v mod anyways, so thought this would be just perfect.

 

Just Installed my DreamPSU just now and it's great. No heat at all. Extremely happy with it. Took 2 mins to install. A 3 year old could do it. Worth every penny

 

I just found out obout this product and they are sold out. Is there a plan to produce more or are any excess for sale anywhere?

 

I just emailed the guy who did the DreamPSU and he emailed me back with how many I wanted. Ordered and within a few days it came. Worth every penny.

He mailed me back. Nice guy. He said they are sold out with currently no plans for more but he is starting a list of people that email him and if there is enough interest there may be another run.

With my dreamPsu,its just plug and play,with this you have to solder a bit.
But nothing really difficult

Most know about the PicoPSU, but not everyone likes the solder part on the install. The DreamPSU is so much easier to install. You can take it out of any console and install in another without any solder skills. No de-soldering required after install either. It's plug and play like you said. Don't think pico does that?

I would say anyone looking for one needs to check ebay every once in a while, I saw one last week.

 

Just a little word of encouragement for anyone who is after a new PSU and on the fence about soldering: the PicoPSU mod is pretty simple. I'm a total newbie and was able to pull it off with minimal fuss. Biggest problem was actually getting an adequate power brick.
