He said he is having some problems for the first batch after the first release...

 

I paid 150 USD to get 3 devices and now I’m a little bit afraid... I hope that it isn’t a scam...

Yeah, I hope the project works out. I have a black (Sega Sports) Dreamcast I'm fond of that is also region free, but it constantly drops video and disc access and I have to reboot. I understand that this might be a PSU issue, hence DreamPSU.

 

Is $50 for the DreamPSU really cheaper than building a PicoPSU for it? Maybe the final price wasn't set when this message was made so could have changed between then and now?

 

A genuine picoPSU 80w was 80$ last time I checked. If you can get it cheaper than the DreamPSU, then go for the pico. Check my picture earlier in the "replacing" thread to see how compact a pico install can be.
