DS boxart / launch package revealed

So nintendo is actually going to give you the demo of metroid prime hunters to get started a very good move imho.
To bad the boxart itself is pretty bland like all nintendo boxart.

 

The packaging is supposed to 'sell' the product and attract interest .... it looks like a piece of shit .... :smt022

Yeah I think it looks stylish and is moving away from the kiddy approach.The sp approach which was very similar worked tremedously and if it ain't broke, why fix it.(especially when it sells in millions!!)

The Japanese box should be far more appealing, I already like the touch it stuff they are doing just now over there.I'd like to touch the girl in the advert too, hehe. :-D

I can tell you this for nothing, that stylus looks shit, almost identical to my Palm one. I will be using one of my nice metal alloy Dell ones on it instead!

Pants boxart though, they are trying to go for the ipod "minimalist" and "neutral colour" schemes.

It looks like generic photoshopped crap that pretty much anyone can knock up. It should be unique/special/inviting/interesting!

I agree, the box is intended to look more adult. Every idiot I talk to thinks the Gamecube is for kids. I show them metroid and they are confused. Looks like Nintendo has cought on a generation and a half too late.

i have a kinda weird question now.
why does this box have english letters on them?

i bought an import evangelion figure and it has EVANGELION in big letters with the jap. ones under it.

it confuses me because it seems like they were showing the english letters more and its from japan. whats up with dat?

And yes, for anyone that is confused about the language on the box, we are indeed
getting it here in America a short time before Japan gets it - November 15th or
something like that, whenever the Tuesday of that week is (as for some reason
everything releases here on Tuesdays).

I think the box art is very stylish - it's really keeping in line with the GBASP and
Gamecube box stylings. Still trying to decide if I should preorder the
damn thing or not tho...
