Nintendo can really roll out red carpeting. Usually Nintendo in the past ages was just aloof about competiton kind of like, "meh we got competitors, really?" Now it's like a new platform is materialized driven purely from competiton that has yet itself materialized. ANd so far everyone I've heard who doesn't only flat out say it's a useless platform has been shocked with the imagery and titles planned to be released. Go Nintendo! :smt045
You know this ... how? If you're going to comment like that back it up with official word from Square. If not, why even post it?
Deja vu. Sounds like the dirge of cerebrus thread. I think square-enix will try to be about even. They have been with sony forever, and A long time on nintendo handhelds. So, they might make things for both portables. If money can be made, it will be made IMO...
More DS goodies !! Nintendo now have a 8meg video on line of games running. Some of the games look very nice indeed. THere's a new Goemon game by Konami shown too. Head on over to this URL http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/index.html and click the 2nd button on the right. It'S the one that looks like a film reel. Yakumo
I try to get both. Xbox and dreamcast are old, and i want them, too. Is someone *REALLY* hardcore if they dont try to get everything? or is that name "enthusiast"?
Yes I will get a DS when it comes out if I have the cash. I won't be getting a PSP because nothing on it interests me at all. All I see is a portable PS2 that plays movies and MP3 (custom format no doubt) and eats batteries like me in a cake shop. The screen is good but that isn't enough to impress me. The DS really does seem ingenious and every release date game looks like it uses the touch screen feature. The double screens don't really interest me that much though. I have never liked Sony even before the PlayStation came along. I think there products are the EA of the electronics world. Their TVs are NOT the best even though people insist they are. They have terrible laser technology ever since the early days. Most Sony CD players die after a few years and we all know about the PlayStation's dodgy lasers. If there's a cool game on the PlayStation or PS2 then I accept it's a cool game and have fun playing it such as the recent release of Gradius on the PS2. So, in answer to your question I don hate Sony but not because of their game systems. I owned two PlayStations at one point in my life but both died :smt022 Yakumo
I'm honestly not getting any of these. I think the last console(s) I'll get are either the XBOX or GC or both.
http://www.gamespot.com/ds/action/dssupermario4x4/media.html?gcst=mariods_demo1007.asx Watch the super mario 64 demonstration video, down the page a little, to be truly amazed, it changed my mind about ds in an instant and you know how much I have been heavily criticising the console in recent weeks, it looks phenomonal running, so smotth and no pop up etc... Truly stunning and the guy from NOA talks you through the whole thing whilst he is playing, it was later announced that the anolougue had been turned of for the demo but the stupid idiot forgot that. The anologue control input definetly sounds intresting though.
Nintendo DS will have a fully fledged remake of Final Fantasy 3 with ds touchscreen features and all that bollocks, I'm hoping it is not the remake with just 16 bit graphics witha few bells and whistles and they actually fully redo the graphics and stuff but we willl have to wait and see, Square enix are also doing egg monster hero which does look funky if you are into SE games, a Dragon Quest title of some sort is also on the cards so SE are heavily supporting the DS which surprises me as I thought they would be more heavily behind te PSP, some sort of cash injection from sony will soon rectify this though and ps2 ports of the new FF games are likely.Depends on sales though, and Sony after an initially impressive handling of promoting PSp has seemingly gone to sleep and is losing the hype war big time after Ninty's press showings.Kutaragi san will have to make some final announcements on price and battery life very soon or he will lose alot of customers.
I just got my conformation mail fom play-asia, my usa DS +Mario64 Ds usa version are shipping on the 23rd of november rayer: rayer: rayer: :-D Omfg that 16 minutes mario ds footage is awsome, i'm soooo glad i ordered it along with my DS :-D
I'll be ordering my JAP version courtesy of Yakumo enterprise's Japan Ltd. I think I will get a ds and mazza 64, and maybe a couple of the other launch titles to keep me busy over the xmas period, should be shit hot playing the DS over xmas, see if I can find any other import owners in scotland by taking it everywhere I go, I've no doubt there will be other owners who have bought the jap version on import. There is an import shop near me who is only going to stock the jap machine for some odd reason.I was speaking to the owner and he seems to think the jap boxes and stuff will be more marketable.
Just watched the mario 64x4 video link (thanks Nintendomad) and i have to say its very impressive. Im soo glad its not just a straight port, there seems to be a lot of new stuff to see & do wich will make it a whole new experience this time around. Haha Sony better have somthing bloody amazing up their sleeve if they even hope of competing with the Ds as flashy graphics are not just enough in my opinion. Looking back through handheld history has shown us that. The vastly underpowered gameboy fought off all competition due to 2 simple things battery life & price (oh and because the games were fantastic) :smt023
