I hope this proves to you non-believers that the game is real http://beaucheff.wordpress.com/2008/06/05/duke-nukem-forever-gameplay-footage/
Now they need to release the countless other versions of the game they never finished. I really hope (and really doubt) they'll put them on the "Collector's Edition," because you know they'll release one.
Not bad, not bad at all. However it has a certain Prey feel to it, which IMO is bad because that game barely deserved to be played. Beyond that everything else looks good. BTW, why the HL2-like weapons HUD?
To make it short, the first part is good, then it gets too gory, more disgusting that scary. But the major problem is that both antigravity and the portals arent used in more dynamic ways later in the game. Dunno I was expecting something better, more like what Portal ended up being.
Prey was interesting to an extent, but I never got very far because I would lose interest in the game (happens with almost everything I play - I'm really picky). It made far better use of the Doom 3 engine than Doom 3 itself did, though. The game was pretty silky on my GeForce 6600, whereas Doom 3 was always struggling to maintain 40fps on medium settings.
For some reason Prey has been £5 - £7 in UK pretty much solid from its release... I personally don't think it's that bad. Worth a few shits and giggles... This Duke though, I'm hoping that it'll be as awesome as we all hope but it does have that plasticy-sheen of Prey to it...
Prey was really fucking cool if you actually sat down and got past the begining. I liked the voice clips and interactivity, the respawn, etc. Reminded me of the good ol' days, plus the fact it actually came out was cool.
